At only 4-years-old, little Marleigh has already made a name for herself online. Cute as a button, Marleigh was featured in a video posted on Facebook by her mom, Paige Jolley Bumgarner. In the video, she is captured singing a sweet lullaby to her puppy, a boxer named Fiona. The video has taken the Internet by storm and has become a viral sensation.

A little girl wins the heart of the Internet

As is the case with many puppies in a family with children, Fiona is spoiled beyond measure. Not only does young Marleigh love her very much, but she also gives her the treat of a song every now and then. Singing “Jesus Loves Me,” to the sleeping Fiona, Marleigh not only has the affection of her dog but also that of the entire Internet.

As she softly rocks Fiona, Marleigh can be heard humming to her favorite dog. As Marleigh’s mom records Marleigh and her pup, the young crooner breaks into the lyrics from the song,

“Jesus loves me, this I know,

For the Bible tells me so

Little ones to him belong,

They are weak, but he is strong”

Such a good sister

As Paige continues to record her young daughter, she talks to her mom talking about how good of a pet owner that she is, saying to her mom,

“I’m a good sister, mama.”

In response, Paige tells her daughter,

“You’re the best.”

Fiona gets woken up, but not for long

And who can blame Fiona for sleeping peacefully in Marleigh’s arms? The little girl continues to rock her gently, trying to speak in a soft and soothing voice. Eventually, though, Marleigh lets out some big sneezes, which of course wakes Fiona up. For her part, Marleigh takes it all in stride and simply begins singing Fiona back to sleep again.

The video takes off

On Facebook, the video of her singing to her pup has gotten over 28 million views and has been shared more than 646,000 times. The video also garnered some kind responses form viewers, prompting Marleigh’s mom to respond on Facebook.

“While I am so grateful for these kind messages, the truth is I fail every day,” Paige said in a Facebook post. “I fail the Lord and I fail Marleigh. I don’t feel worthy of all these sweet comments but I do know we have taught Marleigh we love everyone just like Jesus does. I hope she continues to show Jesus’ love the rest of her life. Thank you all again for all your sweet messages and comments!”
