Introducing your child to their new little brother or sister can be a nerve-wracking time. We’ve all heard the stories about jealous little kids who resent their new siblings in their early years. It’s fairly normal for children to behave in a hostile manner towards a new edition to their family.

This is especially a problem with younger children, who may exhibit signs of aggression, anger and jealousy, according to Psychology Today.

Luckily, for some kids, their sibling love completely overrides any feelings of negativity. And that was exactly the case for one little girl, Molly, of Wynnewood, Penn., when she got to meet her newborn baby sister for the first time.

In an adorable video filmed by her mom, Molly can be seen cuddling her little sister, Cora, who is wrapped in a floral swaddle and sleeping peacefully.

Molly’s mom can be heard reminding her to handle her little sister carefully, but Molly is clearly aware of how precious and delicate the baby in her arms is.

Molly peers down at Cora, gently stroking her face. As if the moment isn’t already cute enough, she then begins to talk to her sister – and the things she says are enough to bring a tear to your eye.

“You just came out of Mommy’s belly. I won’t drop you. I won’t let you go anymore.”

Then she gives Cora a soft kiss on the head.

Obviously, Mom’s heart is bursting with love at this moment, as we hear her exclaim, “I just got that on camera.”

Molly continues to cuddle Cora, whispering,

“You’re so cute. You’re just so cute.”

She gently strokes Cora’s swaddled body and holds her face close to her sister’s.

As many children do, Molly definitely has a curious nature! She can’ stop looking at her little sister, as if in awe that she has finally come into this world. We’re with Molly – childbirth really is a miraculous thing, and can be pretty overwhelming for all new family members.

Molly then asks asks if she can take baby Cora’s hat off. Mom tells her it’s probably best not to. We can hear from her voice that she’s still very taken-aback at how quickly Molly has taken on the role of caring older sister.

Of course, this video was just too precious for Molly’s mom to keep to herself. So she decided to share the moment on Twitter – but she never could have expected it to take off like it did.

Molly and Cora’s exchange was viewed and shared by thousands of users across the internet. On Facebook, the video hit over 12,000 views and counting. It seems the whole world can’t get enough of the cuteness overload of little Molly and her display of sisterly love.

One user, @brandywinetru1, commented, “Oh she’s so cute. Look at dem little chubby cheeks & fingers! How adorable!”

Another, @koehler_fran, pointed out that this exchange was a particularly special moment in time that probably wouldn’t last forever! She wrote, “Beautiful moment … replay when they are teenagers and fighting cause they will”.

It’s true that in a few years to time, the two sisters will probably experience their fair share of sibling arguments and petty fights, but this video is proof that sibling love runs much deeper than anything else.
