Gunnar is a bulldog but he’s quite special. He’d been the “only child” of this lovely couple for years and we must say he’s very spoiled!

Having dogs makes us want to spoil them so much; in fact, we treat them like our own children, right? Any dog owner knows how precious our fur babies are.

Just like Gunnar the bulldog who has been the couple’s only child for years.

One day, Gunnar started acting differently, he knew something was up and it turned out that his mommy was pregnant!

Gunnar was so sweet that he used to lay on his mom’s baby bump. He patiently waited for his baby human brother to come out. He felt it; he knew he was going to be a big brother now.

The time came when Wyatt came home and Gunnar welcomed his newborn brother wholeheartedly. He knew how to be caring and gentle. He’s no longer the only baby in this house; he’s a big brother now.

“The first time Wyatt came home,” Samantha, their mommy, said to The Dodo, “and the day we brought Lachlan home, he was like ‘Oh, yeah, they’re my people too.’”

Every big brother has his own responsibility, right?

That’s why whenever Samantha and her husband were busy; Gunnar took the job of making sure that Wyatt and his brother Lachlan were okay.

Samantha also said that it was Gunner who taught Wyatt to climb the stairs and that he was so patient with him.

“He was at the top, came down and then stood behind [Wyatt] as he climbed the stairs for the first time,” Samantha shared in her interview.

Gunnar wasn’t only there to play with the kids; he was there to teach them and to guide them, just like a big brother should.

Everything they do, they do with Gunnar, after all, he wasn’t just a dog, and he was their first baby. He was one of the boys and their parents are just so proud of their 3 babies!

Their family became happier, they’d have birthday parties together, they walk and play together, they get along so well and truly, they treasure and love each other.

Since Wyatt was the firstborn, he and Gunnar have been inseparable. They’re more than just brothers, they’re best friends.

Samantha also shared in their video that they know for a fact that Gunnar wouldn’t be around forever and that they have to treasure each day they are with each other. Each day is a memory to be kept in their hearts forever.

“He really is our first baby,” the couple explains in their video. “Knowing that he’s not going to be around forever, it makes me just try and appreciate him so much while he is here. I can’t imagine our lives without him.”

In Gunnar’s Instagram page, it shows that the couple has a new baby boy named Rowan. Now, the family has 4 beautiful boys!

From a spoiled fur baby to a responsible, loving, and protective big brother, Gunnar made his parents and his human siblings proud of him!
