Baby monitor shows loyal dog stealthily entering sleeping toddler’s room for quick “check-up”

Fostering a dog is much like a box of chocolates – you’ll never know what you’re going to get.
At first, Emily Wright thought that their first dog Tiger needed a companion.
As a growing dog, they just thought that it would be nice if he has someone to use that energy and spunk on.
Tiger finally got his “buddy”.

They searched for a dog that would fit this new role. Soon enough they stumbled on an ad showing a golden retriever.
Love at first sight
The moment the couple saw Kendall’s picture, they knew she was the one.
Their foster application came in just in time because Kendall was just hours away from being put down.
The moment has been serendipitous but they don’t know to what extent just yet.

There were no regrets in taking Kendall in.
They said that the moment she blitz into their driveway, they knew she was the dog for them.
But with dogs like Kendall, blazing and blasting with energy, things can get a little bit difficult at first.
They shared that Kendall was destructive.
It’s not because she has temper issues or anything like that.

It’s just Kendall being a golden retriever – always curious and always giving into the urge of munching table décor, furniture, or maybe pillows.
She wasn’t a bad dog and the Wrights knew that, especially when they saw Tiger developing a certain level of fondness toward his new playmate.
Since then, the two were inseparable.
Then, one night, Emily felt something warm and hairy beside her when she was sleeping.
It was then that she realized that Kendall likes to cuddle. It became a little more frequent when she found out that she was pregnant.

During the course of this pregnancy, the couple discovered a side of Kendall they’d never seen before.
It was much more apparent when Emily gave birth to their son Austin.
A built-in body guard
The moment he was born, Kendall never left the boy’s side.
“I don’t think we really saw the protector in her come out until was son was born.” Emily shared to the animal channel The Dodo.

The moment Kendall laid eyes on little Austin, all she has was love for the boy.
If it was Austin’s tummy time, she would lie down close to watch over him.
Whenever he wakes up in the morning, Emily always hears Kendall whimpering.

Kendall was once a ball of energy. She still is around Austin albeit in a much more careful way.
She would run and jump around the boy, but if he was close, she would stand still.
But it was during nighttime when Emily realized how much Kendall loves Austin.
A sweet security check
One night, she received security alerts on her phone notifying her about movements in her son’s room. When she checked the footage, Emily’s heart melted.
There, visiting Austin from time to time, was Kendall. She would check up on him and kiss him good night before disappearing from the frame.
It was an hourly routine.
When they fostered a dog just hours from death, they never expected they’d end up with someone who loves their family with all her heart.
It’s quite obvious that Kendall’s case was a foster fail, which means she was adopted by the Wrights.
We’re looking forward to more moments shared between Austin, Kendall, and Tiger.
