This motorhome is actually $1.7 million luxury residence with a hidden garage

Welcome to the Volkner Mobil Performance S-class, the pinnacle of stately luxury – on wheels.

That might not get you excited if mobile homes aren’t your thing, but we guarantee you’ll at least be surprised by how many amenities they managed to pack into one road-legal vehicle.

Now, if it does get you excited, please note that this is real textbook luxury – the kind that you have to be rich to afford. Really rich. So rich you don’t even care that one of your homes is a vehicle.

“It’s a house on wheels,” Volkner Mobil’s director Stephanie Volkner told Daily Mail. “Our clients normally have big companies. They want to travel freely. They want to decide when they start their journey, where they can go, not before. They look at the weather and start. They want to live in their own, very personal area.”

Granted, other than the part about owning a big company, that kind of sounds like all of us, right? Or do rich people assume we don’t want privacy or care about the weather?

Anyway.

Here he is

Volkner claims that their vehicle is the very best.

“Actually he should have been called “Besserkönner” if he can do everything better than others. But that’s probably not a name for a motorhome. So we called it performance, which means nothing more than “performance.”

The Performance S mobile home first went viral in 2017 when someone saw the video and couldn’t believe a 40-foot motor home cost $1.7 million. The newer models don’t have a price on them for one very obvious reason – because if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

Amenities from the outside

She’s an 18-ton beauty with a Volvo-Mercedes Benz chassis that will allow you to take a separate vehicle with you when you don’t feel like parking a giant bus outside a luxury steakhouse on vacation.

In fact, no matter what you drive, be in “a BMW i8, Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet, Ferrari, Mini Cooper, or whatever,” (we drive a whatever), the car can actually fit INSIDE the vehicle without taking up any space.

That’s nice since our non-Ferrari wouldn’t look that cool parked in the middle of our luxury living room.

Apparently, a lot of very rich people with mobile homes and custom garages were getting wildly inconvenienced when it came to parking them. But you’ll be happy to know people like this don’t have to fret anymore:

“I used to drive with a trailer. It went quite well forwards, but reversing … Then I had a motorhome with a rear garage. Stowing and lashing in the narrow space were pretty tricky. The operation of the middle garage in the Performance, on the other hand, is really easy and I can even take my dream car with me in the large garage. If it didn’t exist, it would have to be invented. I don’t want to miss her anymore. “

We’re relieved for this person.

There’s also room underneath for your luxury bicycle and luxury Louis Vuitton travel chests. Or even a person! (Just kidding, don’t do that.)

Enjoy dining al fresco or showing up to Ivy League tailgates to prove you have the largest company of all your business school classmates?

Boom, done.

The interior

But how luxurious does the Performance S feel when you’re sitting around INSIDE drinking afternoon martinis, you ask?

It turns out you have some options here – 6 of them – when it comes to floorplans. We like the open floor plan, personally:

Ok, we’ve kept the interior from you long enough. So behold some of the luxuries that await inside the Performance S.

Not into the wood-paneled look? That’s ok.

Fitted with luxury leather seating everywhere (in some interesting color choices), you can pull down a seat back in case you need to get some work done on your trip.

There’s also space for a lovely dinner (and yes, of course, the kitchen comes with space for its own deli meat slicer).

You’ll also notice that it contains a china cabinet.

You’ll never want to run out of glassware and china on your trip (though you may want to make sure it’s fairly sturdy in case there are any bumps in the road).

Obviously, there’s a big-screen TV in the dining area in case you’ve run out of things to talk about with your travel companion.

There’s an impressive kitchen too, so you can cook your own meals in the event that you haven’t taken your Ferrari out for a drive to a nice restaurant in your vacation destination.

Actually, there’s an impressive amount of storage space for just about everything you need as well as a cooktop, oven, and dishwasher.

As for the end of the night, you’ll pass from the main cabin through a bathroom with stainless steel appliances and a rain shower and into a bedroom that comes in two options – wood and not wood.

If you’ve seen enough wood in the living/dining/kitchen area, you can go for a different vibe in the back:

There are many more amenities to be seen, including closet space, skylights, and all sorts of buttons and levers to press.
