Something as simple as watching makeover videos is usually enough to bring a tear to your eye. The reactions that people have when they see themselves as their best selves is something that warms your heart and brings a smile to your face. Thankfully, YouTube is full of these videos, and there is always a new one to enjoy!

One woman in Vero Beach, Florida, went through a makeover experience that touched her heart.

The woman was at the lowest point she had ever been at in her life. She had just recently lost her husband, a devastating blow to her mental health. After living half your life with someone, losing them suddenly is like a wrench in the heart.

At 52-years-old, she was still struggling through it.

After mentioning the difficulty she was having working through the pain, she got emotional. She was sharing how she felt and was holding things together, but when she mentioned her grandbabies, she lost it.

“The bad is that I lost my husband, but the good is that I have grandbabies.”

Maggie, the woman, was decided to follow her husband’s advice to her.

Maggie’s husband always said to take care of herself, and she was doing it the best she knew how. Following her husband’s advice, she decided to apply for a makeover on a famous YouTube channel!

Incredibly, she won!

The Makeover Guy has been on YouTube for years and is run by Christopher Hopkins, a makeup artist, author, and entertainer. The makeovers he does on his channel are usually quite stunning and worth the watch. Apart from seeing different styles and concepts, watching people react is the best part!

When he finished with Maggie, the results were insane!

When she saw her new hair, her jaw dropped. She couldn’t help but break into a huge grin that she tried to hide with her hand! She was officially a blonde bombshell! The new look really accentuated her youth, and Christopher really didn’t hold back with his skills!

“Oh my gosh, I didn’t think I could look like this! This does not look like me at all. I never thought they would dye my hair blonde. I look like my daughter!”

With a bit of encouragement from Christopher, Maggie was beaming.

Maggie said that she always felt like she was 30, and with her new look, she looks the part! Even the emotions of feeling younger are good for you, right? It has to be healthier to be happy than sad!

Watchers on the channel commented their support for Maggie.

While the comment section isn’t usually a great place to go, this time, it was nothing but encouragement. One commenter said:

“Absolutely wonderful. This may mark the beginning of her taking care of herself. I’m sure her husband would be glad she’s happy.”
