Mailman notices senior dog struggle going up stairs so he decides to intervene
Dogs are just like us when they age. Bones weaken, mobility suffers, and other possible problems set in. This dog from Boulder, Colorado is no different but he’s still a good boy.
His name is Tashi. This black Labrador Retriever lives with his mom, Karen Dimetrosky. Tashi is 14 years old so he struggles to move most times. But he still makes an effort to greet the mailman.
Karen carries Tashi up and down the stairs every day and that began to take its toll on her back.
Jeff Kramer is the mailman Tashi loves and he knew how they would struggle just to greet him. So he decided to help.
Jeff’s senior dog, Odie, benefited from a ramp he built so he decided to give that ramp to Karen. Unfortunately, Karen and her husband couldn’t install the ramp used by Jeff’s late dog.
So Jeff, being such a selfless man, surprised them by installing the ramp himself.
Tashi can now go greet Jeff by himself, and both the dog and the mailman are super happy!
Watch these two below and see how they just adore each other!

These are 12 things you do that your dog may not like:
Hugging- Some dogs may feel restricted and even consider it a controlling act. Then there are dogs who jump into your arms for a hug!
Using words more than body language- Dogs may understand a few words here and there but it’s our body language they mostly respond to.
Patting their heads– There are dogs who don’t like having their personal space is invaded. Try petting them on the back or scratching their ears first.
Keeping eye contact– It could come across as an act of assertion or dominance. Don’t do this with new dogs.
Lacking rules and structure- Communication isn’t always easy so having rules and structure can help dogs feel more comfortable and have more trust in you.
Keeping them on a tight leash- All that does is stress or agitate a dog.
Not letting them explore and smell- Keeping them inside will have them feeling depressed or isolated. Allow your dog to run out and explore every once in a while.
Forcing them to interact with other dogs or people- Don’t force your dog to interact with a stranger or another dog. It could make them comfortable and a situation like that often ends badly for both parties involved.
Being tense- They know when we are stressed, sad, or even angry. Watch how your dog reacts to you.
Being boring- Dogs need to interact and play. Leaving them alone can make them feel lonely.
Strong smells- A dog’s smell is around 40 times greater than a human’s. Air fresheners, cleaning sprays, and other chemicals may not affect us, but they often bother dogs.
Bathing them- Dogs may or may not like bath time. Regardless of how they feel, a slip-resistant mat should make them feel more comfortable. Keep the water lukewarm too.
