The catch? She’s 77; much older than most other beauty gurus online. Patti doesn’t believe in being defined by age, and she has the winning attitude to prove it. About her beliefs, she says:

“I’m hoping to connect to women of all ages to show that aging gracefully can be so very easy. We really do get better with age~~~the best is yet to come so enjoy !”

It’s true that with age your appearance changes.

Not always for the worse though. Some people and cultures have a lot of respect for the aging process, associating these changes as a sign of wisdom. But still, for many women in America, the physical signs of aging are not welcome changes. Things like gray hair, wrinkles, and sun spots can bring in some anxiety for women, and some turn to makeup to help with that.

Fortunately, we have Patti to help us through.

Patti is full of great tips. She uses this transformation video as an opportunity to share her secrets with other women. One of her first big ideas is to use natural oil to help hydrate the skin. You want more hydration as you age because your body doesn’t retain it as well as it used to. Patti also begins to set her hair early on in the makeup process so that it’ll be done by the time she’s finished with her makeup — a timesaver!

Additionally, Patti emphasizes using moisturizer in conjunction with the oil. Then, she goes on to layer sunscreen on top of that. You can never be too protected from the sun, and sunscreen helps with aging!

Doing eye makeup is different from your younger years.

After using a brush to apply a powder foundation to her face, she moves on to the eye area. While you may have loved to experiment with thick rock n roll eyeliner and fun eyeshadow colors in your younger years, Patti says that look isn’t great for older women’s features.

She does, however, suggest using a soft, natural colored eyeshadow all over the eyes. Then you can use a slightly darker eyeshadow in your creases to help your eyes pop. Then, finish with a layer of mascara.

You might not have thought to pat your cheeks.

When it comes to blush, Patti uses a brush like most of us do. But she uses it differently. Patti chooses to lightly pat her cheeks with blush to create a lighter, more natural flush.

After the blush, she just throws on a light lip gloss and she looks amazing!

Patti uses makeup to completely transform her face.

Once her blush is done, her face is complete. To finish up her hair, Patti can just take out the rollers and let her hair fall as it naturally does. Low maintenance and gorgeous!
