Have you ever been apart from your pet for so long that the best part about returning home is seeing each other again? That feeling that basically tells you to forget the exhaustion, the experiences, and even the fun times – just seeing your pet again is a strong enough reminder that there truly is no place like home.

Freya is a sweet German Shepherd who stole the hearts of many as everyone witnessed her reaction to seeing her owner again after a long time.

Captured on video, the heartwarming reunion uploaded to the YouTube channel Rumble Viral caught the attention of many, earning over 18 million views and 30K likes.

The start of the video shows the owner heading over to the place where the loving German Shepherd was staying. Other companions could be seen alighting a blue car and walking towards a door. Then, one woman enters, instantly greeting Freya, while the dog’s owner continues to hide.

The cameraman, trying to get the pup’s attention, keeps the camera’s focus on the friendly pup who suddenly lets out a bark.

As Freya realized it wasn’t a stranger she was barking at but rather, her beloved owner, she instantly ran towards him, squealing, singing, and jumping up to give him hugs.

It was a short clip that had so much love and joy in it.

The joy and excitement the dog felt were evident in her actions. Wriggling and squirming about, she would constantly rub up on her owner’s leg and let out little sounds, as if to express her happiness.

Viewers were incredibly touched by the reunion and shared their thoughts in the comments section. One user even commented on how Freya seemed to be saying “I love you” to her owner! YouTube user Ryan Simpson gave one of the best comments, saying,

“Somebody once told me, ‘A dog is the only thing that will love you more than it loves itself’.”

Latinworldexplorer wrote,

“No human will ever show you this same level of unconditional love.”

The overjoyed pup at one point even faced the camera directly to give a large grin, as if to boast that she and her dad were finally together again. Notice how her owner looks at her like a proud parent?

If that’s not love, then we don’t know what is!

Freya kept showering him with kisses, making him feel just how much she missed him. While it wasn’t mentioned why they were apart for so long or why the other dog in the video didn’t share the same enthusiasm, it’s a reunion we’re glad was caught on camera and uploaded for the rest of the world to delight in.

Freya and her owner sure are lucky to have each other.
