Man walks into his bedroom and finds random cat giving birth under his bed

Even though it’s not uncommon to find a stray cat or dog once in a while, it’s pretty uncommon to find them inside of your own home. And it gets even crazier if it’s a pregnant stray giving birth! Even though the above seems pretty insane, that’s exactly what happened to a young man named Paris Zarcilla who works and lives in London, UK.

One day, Paris went back home and decided to go grab a sweater from his bedroom closet.

Little did he know that he was in for the surprise of a lifetime!

He had the feeling that there was someone inside of his room – but since he didn’t see anything, he figured that it must’ve been a small animal. Just a couple of minutes later, Paris found a stray feline who was seemingly hiding underneath the bed.

The shocking discovery didn’t stop there: the cat was giving birth to a number of kittens!

Paris found himself being a newfound father of a motherly cat and her kittens. He immediately tried to make sure they were completely comfortable and safe. Once the kittens seemed to be okay, he decided to take a few snaps of them and share his incredible story on Twitter.

When he posts on Twitter, he’s still clearly in shock and overwhelmed about the whole thing, and especially how it all happened so quickly.

“So… I JUST FOUND A CAT THAT IS NOT MINE AND IT HAS HAD BABIES UNDER MY BED,” Paris tweeted.

Within a few days, the tweet was seen by millions around the world with over 154,000 likes. Paris certainly didn’t expect his story to be an internet sensation!

“Paternal instincts kicking in. Overwhelmed with feels. Don’t know how to deal,” he said.

Even though Paris already had plans that day, he decided to cancel all of those and make sure that the feline four-footers were safe. He quickly went outside to grab some food for the cats as well as some basic necessities and spent a lot of his time on the internet trying to figure out how to best take care of the kittens and their mommy.

“Cancelling all my plans. Crawling under the bed to spend the rest of the day with my four new children. #newdad”

And in the meantime, he just couldn’t help but think that his new family of furballs was just too adorable.

“Cuteness update: I’m dying” the man tweeted alongside a new photo.

The man even canceled his online comic book and whiskey orders, because there were more important things he needed.

“I am living for these babies. Any work commitments I have are now temporarily on hold. Sorry I’m a dad now.”

“Just cancelled my order for comics and single malt whiskey. Now buying cat food. This is fatherhood yo! I’m here for this.”

Paris later said that the cats actually saved his life, as the young man was struggling with depression for a while. He found comfort in this amazing surprise, and it gave him a new look on life.

“This is too much. I’m approaching nirvana. I legitimately suffer from anxiety attacks and depression and my capacity to deal with it recently has been waning. The Cat Gods have smiled upon me with benevolence and turned the monsters under my bed into kittens.”

“To my cat sons and daughters, I’ll be the hero you deserve, but not the one it needs right now (because of mama cat). So I’ll hunt for you, because I can afford it. I’ll be your silent guardian, your watchful protector. Love, #CatDad.”

Paris also couldn’t believe the overwhelming support and love he received from Twitter-users all around the world.

“Unexpectedly discovered more than kittens but also the hidden depths of my own capacity to love. Cat Twitter, thank you. You’ve been a wonderful source of support.”

Sometimes, the best things in life come unexpectedly. What an adorable family!
