As a pet owner, you just want to make sure that your furry four-footer friend is happy and comfortable at all times.

Andrew Brewer absolutely loves having the company of his cat Ellie around, and the two are the best of friends. However, it turns out that the feline had a small problem at Andrew’s home.

Ellie had a favorite window she was always curious about, but she couldn’t reach it!

Most pets would just let this issue slide after a few days, but Andrew noticed that Ellie definitely wanted to go check out this window, even though it has always been out of reach and is pretty high up.

You can only see it on the staircase and there’s just not really a way to reach it. The cat was pretty sad since the view out of this high window would obviously be pretty amazing.

After a couple of days, Ellie was absolutely tormented by the fact that she could never reach this window. In fact, she would always try to find a spot on the stairs and just stare at the window from a distance.

“I could tell she wanted to be at it so bad,” he said to The Dodo.

Andrew simply couldn’t stand it anymore, and he decided to try and help his lovely cat out.

He tapped into his creative self to figure out the best solution for Ellie’s predicament.

Every day Andrew had some free time, he worked on designing and building a small bridge for his cat to climb on safely so that Ellie would be able to cross the gap and sit and the window – something she had dreamt of for so long.

Luckily, figuring out the construction wasn’t a particularly hard task, and Andrew was more than willing to spend a few hours to make his cat’s dream come true.

“The build itself wasn’t difficult at all,” he added. “I had the idea in my head, on what I wanted it to look like, and just went with it.”

At first, Ellie didn’t seem to realize that Andrew was building this whole cat bridge for her, but when she finally did, she couldn’t be any happier.

The once unreachable window in the house was finally reachable!

Suffice it to say, ever since the bridge was built, the adorable Ellie has spent countless moments in front of the window. Every time Andrew sees her sitting over there, it just makes him smile.

“Every time I see her in the window it makes me smile,” Andrew told. “It makes me happy knowing she can finally reach that window she’s always wanted to reach.”

The bridge even came with an added and unplanned benefit: it also serves as a perfect porch for Ellie to have a quick glance over the entire house.

She was absolutely obsessed with this window before, and this cat bridge has now become her favorite thing in the house – aside from her caring owner, of course.

Andrew would do just about anything for his furry best friend and doesn’t mind spending so much time designing and building the bridge at all.

To him, Ellie is family!

“It was absolutely worth the effort. Pets are part of the family,” he concluded.
