There are just some television shows out there that will simply warm your heart and ‘Dog’s Day Out’ which is presented by host Rocky Kanaka is definitely one of those shows. In each episode, the kind host finds a shelter dog and takes him or her on a wonderful day trip as Rocky and his new four-footer friend usually go on some sort of cool or wild adventure together.

It certainly makes for good television, but it also spreads awareness about shelter dogs and helps them get adopted.

In one of the more recent episodes, Rocky met an adorable small puppy named Freddie Mercury. She’s a special needs dog and is quite timid, but she has an absolutely incredible loving personality.

Before the fun part of the show begins, the viewers are first introduced to Freddie Mercury’s backstory, and it’s not a pretty one.

The poor pup was found abandoned in a pile of trash with multiple broken bones.

Aside from her dire medical condition, she was also severely malnourished and couldn’t even eat if she wanted to because she only had two sets of teeth. Luckily, rescuers were able to find Freddie Mercury before it was too late and they rushed her to the vet for emergency surgery. After the pup’s condition stabilized, the animal rescue group Marley’s Mutts decided to take care of her.

The organization matched Freddie with a foster mom, Angela – who later adopted him.

Angela and Freddie immediately had an undeniable connection as the two simply fell in love with each other. It really didn’t take long before Angela decided that she wanted to take care of the pup permanently.

Television host Rocky heard about this special story and knew that he had to do something unique for this pup who has been through hell.

He decided to take Freddie to a shopping spree and buy everything that she touched!

“When I see a dog like Freddie and how hard she fought to survive, I feel like she should be taken out for the best day ever,” Rocky said.

After all, with Freddie now having a new and warm home, it was the perfect opportunity to buy a couple of cool things as well as furniture. One of the most important items is a dog bed, of course, so Rocky put down three different beds on the floor and bought the one that Freddie felt the most comfortable with. It’s just absolutely adorable to watch.

For this shopping trip, Freddie had a bit of help from another dog, Bosco. The two worked in unison to pick some things out.

Due to the injuries, Freddie still has difficulties walking – but Bosco managed to help out just fine.

Of course, Bosco was also treated to a number of items from the pet store. Funnily enough, he immediately gravitated towards a large toy that’s massive in size when compared to little Freddie!

The shopping trip was absolutely amazing for both of them, as they picked out item after item that they’d like to have. Those include practical things such as food and water bowls, but we definitely can’t forget plenty of toys and treats as well. These pets found out first-hand that a shopping spree can be super exciting!

After their shopping session, both pups were treated to a delicious treat.

These ‘puppuccinos’ were definitely tasty, both Freddie and Bosco loved it. The television host decided to end his date with these two pups by taking them to the park. This has most definitely been an amazing day for the two four-footers, and for Freddie in particular who will never have to worry about not having a warm home again.
