Man hilariously changes lyrics of 'Dancing Queen' and it's surprisingly relatable
We all have different ways of keeping ourselves entertained and sane during these trying times. I bet many of us have been binge-watching some series and movies. For sure there are also some out there who are trying their best to be productive each day.
It’s great if you are trying different things even when you are just at home.
David Scott, the founder and producer of the electronic music act, The Kiffness has an interesting way to keep himself entertained.
It sounds like he is busy while in quarantine but the funny thing is he admitted that he is losing his mind. It’s through the video that he posted on his YouTube channel.
So in his video, he was holding a microphone while wearing an open bathrobe on his body and a towel on his head.
Interesting…
And effortlessly funny. That’s just by seeing the thumbnail of his viral video. Once you listened to it, you’ll surely have some good laugh. The title of it is “Quaranqueen” and it’s a parody of the groovy song āDancing Queenā.
In the description of his video, he wrote, “I am the Quaranqueen. Lost my mind on day 17.”
The lyrics are on point!
Many of us can relate to it! Through his parody, he describes how he spends his days while in quarantine. It tells what most of us do while we are stuck at home.
You surely know the classic song “Dancing Queen” so you can definitely sing along to it.
āIām not wearing pants, Iām deprived,
Iāve lost track of time and my life,
has no routine, my nameās Colleen,
I am the Quaranqueen.ā
If you think that the lyrics he used in the intro are bomb, then listen to the other words he used. The way he sings the song with props is extremely hilarious!
“Friday night and my wine stock’s low,
I’ve literally got no place to go,
I try to find a good series,
to forget everything,
I find the Tiger King.”
He’s not done yet.
To make the props more accurate, he showed his TV screen where the Tiger King series on Netflix was flashing. Since on his lyrics, he said “Friday night and my wine stock’s low”, a boxed wine was also present in his video. Lastly, he also did not hesitate to get a piece of bread.
“Coz I am the Quaranqueen,
I lost my mind on day 17,
Quaranqueen, eating bread without margarine, oh yeah.”
If you find his parody really funny, you are not alone.
Some commenters expressed their reaction upon watching his video.
“Make this guy a star! He’s fantastic. Cute too,” one commenter wrote.
Just like what I said, it is relatable so a man commented on how he can relate to David aka Colleen.
“Omg, this is so me right now minus the wine (i don’t drink but before this is over that could change!)”
David is a star!
Obviously, many people got delighted by his quarantine video. As of this writing, it has over 1.1 million views. Huge!
Thanks to his witty lyrics and of course the classic song by Abba – which he used to bring some good vibes online.
David has been sharing other parody videos on his channel and most of them have been getting thousands of views.
He deserves acclaim for staying at home and at the same time entertaining many people in his own ways!
