Curious man puts camera inside dishwasher to figure out how it works
Technology has taken us to places we could only dream of.
It took us to the skies where we thought only birds could go. Then it brought us beyond the clouds and into the stars.

It brought us to the deepest depths where even light couldn’t touch. And it brought us inside a dishwasher just so we can feed our curiosity. Come on, don’t tell us you’ve never thought about what goes inside a dishwasher.
YouTube content creator Warped Perception brings us up close and personal with our dinnerware.
In his video, he demonstrated how we can use technology to investigate a lot of things. In this episode, he showed what goes inside one of the most used appliances in our homes.

He said that it was difficult at first because there was no camera that can withstand the water and the heat, not to mention that some dishwashers are pitch black inside.
This is where scuba diving comes in.
If water was his main enemy, then all he had to do is to get a GoPro camera and a diving case. Diving cases are clear acrylic devices that enable a diver to use a camera while underwater.
So whatever secrets our dishwashers are hiding from us, will now come to light.
He mounted his cameras inside one of the best dishwashers to come out that year and ate a feast for kings to prepare the plates. Nachos, pasta, and guacamole – foods that can leave some bits, grease, and everything in between.
To be honest, the start of the video is pretty exciting.
It’s that kind of feeling when you don’t know what you’re expecting but you know something is about to happen. At first, a rotating arm underneath the plates started to slowly rotate.
It was spewing out some water to rinse the items on the rack. While we all “know” how a dishwasher works, this point of view can help us see the optimal position of our plates and utensils. Yes, everyone, there’s a proper way of stacking plates inside.
Then, the machine spews out high-pressure water to dislodge food debris.
We think this is the most important part of the video as it can give you a real perspective on what a dishwasher can and can’t do.
When the soap came in, a lot of the grime are visibly gone, which is truly satisfying to see. But there are also stubborn stains that can’t be removed by simple spraying and heating. There is a point in the video where you just want to take a sponge out so bad and punch your hand into the monitor just so you can scrub the clingy guacamole off yourself.
So what did this video tell us?
A lot. It might seem to be just another novel video to some, but this is actually a good product review where it shows the push and pulls between two things – convenience and sustainability.
It is obvious that dishwashers heavily use electricity and water. It can clean your plates while you do other chores, but you’ll just have to be ready to taste that soapy leftover guacamole.
On the other hand, hand washing can be a pain in the ass, but if you make the process enjoyable, like listening to music while you’re at it, you can use fewer resources and do your own “cleanliness level check”. At the end of the day, it’s your call to make.
