BBC sports commentator stages hilarious Zoom ‘business meeting’ with his two dogs

Zoom is an online teleconferencing app that has taken the place of in-person board room meetings during the COVID-19 stay at home orders. People online have been using the platform for connecting with family and friends, as well as for business meetings.
Andrew Cotter, a BBC sports commentator, put a unique spin on his Zoom meeting, hosting a call between him and his two dogs, Olive and Mabel, with hilarious results.
Cotter hosts a Zoom call

A Scottish sports broadcaster, Cotter usually covers golf and Rugby. With no sports to watch, Cotter had to get creative with his time. Cue Olive and Mable, two of the most photogenic and lovable pups.
In a YouTube video of the call, Cotter’s deadpan responses and the goofy view of his two dogs on camera have the Internet in stitches.
Cotter is joined by his two dogs

The Zoom call starts with Cotter waiting for his “coworkers” to join. Soon, a chime is heard and a dog’s face pops up on the screen. It is Olive, one of Cotter’s two dogs. In typical Zoom fashion, Cotter’s other dog, Mabel, has problems connecting to the call. Cotter, meanwhile, does his best to walk her through the process.
“Olive! Hi, thanks for joining us. Mabel…you are connected but you need to start your video. Down at the bottom of the screen, the little camera, it looks like a biscuit actually, just nudge it with your nose.”
No ‘fur’loughs

Cotter starts by reassuring the two dogs that there will, fortunately, not be any furloughs. Turning his attention to Mabel, he talks to her about her lack of focus. This is further emphasized by Cotter having to stop the meeting to address Mable’s behavior.
Before you know it, Mabel has inadvertently switched off her camera. Soon, though, she is back in action just as Cotter is giving the two their performance review. Of course, there are some areas of improvement that the two need to work on. Cotter goes over the specifics with the two dogs:
“There are things that we have to try and improve on. I’m uncomfortable with this chat as well. The annual report says that you have pretty much ruined the sofas. 913 squirrels chased and none caught, so… not a good return.”
Inappropriate workplace behavior

Before you know it, Mabel is back at it again, and Cotter asks her to switch off her camera while she scratches herself. Talk about your inappropriate workplace behavior. Definitely NSFW!
Once she is done, Mable comes back, this time holding a squeaky toy. Cotter ends up having to mute Mabel, who is continuously squeaking the toy. After muting Mabel, Cotter tells Olive that corporate says she is a good dog and that she can go.
As he turns his attention to Mable, maybe to give her a more personal evaluation, she turns her camera off, leaving Cotter alone on the call. Cotter considers firing her for a split second but decides not to because she has such good returns.
Cotter and his two dogs are popular online

The trio first shot to Internet fame with a video of Andrew overseeing an eating and tug-of-war contest between his two dogs. It just goes to show that maybe the quarantine is starting to get to everybody a little, but with people like Cotter around, we can at least all have a good laugh.
