If you have a car, you’ll probably agree that being stuck in a traffic jam is absolutely tedious, boresome and completely uninteresting. Traffic jams aren’t exactly things that will make you smile, but there are most certainly exceptions to that rule.

A driver captured an adorable moment on a smartphone, even though she thought it would be a moment of road rage at first. After all, getting into a traffic jam or waiting for a very long time in front of red lights tend to bring out the worst out of people – drivers get stressed, grumpy and angry.

Turns out it was the complete opposite because a driver hopped out of his car during red traffic lights with an adorable puppy in his hands.

The driver wanted to take his puppy and introduce themselves to the dog of the car beside them, an older German Shephard. It was an absolutely incredible sight to behold, and perhaps the cutest and most heartwarming traffic lights moment that was ever captured on tape. The 26-year-old Celina Romera filmed the whole thing at an intersection in Tampa, Florida and posted it on social media afterward.

It turns out that the driver who jumped out of his car actually did it because the other dog tried to get the puppy’s attention. The German Shephard in the other car was feeling a bit troubled as he kept barking at the car beside them. It’s likely that the four-footer noticed the cute puppy, and when the traffic light switched to red – it was an ideal moment for the owner of the puppy to come and say hello!

The following few seconds were absolutely heartwarming to witness.

The encounter between the unidentified man, his puppy, and the German Shephard is just too sweet.

“It’s okay, man. Take your time,” Celina can be heard saying in the video.

The two dogs did exchange a couple of really sweet licks and kisses, and you can tell that they’re super excited to meet each other. The man who jumped out did ask permission first, just to make sure. They had been barking at each other for a little while to communicate, but they didn’t think that they’d actually be able to meet. Luckily, the red lights made their quick encounter possible.

Barking doesn’t always mean that dogs are interested to meet, it could also be a sign of fear.

“The combination of barking, body language, and approach-avoidance behavior gives away the fearful dog’s motivation, even to us relatively uneducated body-language readers,” the American Kennel Club website states.

However, in this case, there was no fear involved at all, only excitement!

Carolina posted the footage of this sweet encounter on her Facebook profile, and it quickly went viral with over 100,000 likes.

“Catching/filming these few heartwarming moments on film and sharing it will help many heavy hearts lighten and people smile with happiness,” one person wrote.

“I saw this on Snapchat and had to find it, absolutely melted my heart so adorable that he took the time to introduce them,” another added.
