Man uses tractor to mow a mean message to his neighbor

If your neighbor is pleasant, tends to his own affairs, and knows how to be a decent human being in general, then consider yourself lucky.

Not all people have it good when it comes to who they live next door to.

That’s why going the extra mile to extend courtesy and kindness is always the way to go.

But you should know, no matter how warm and friendly you are, some people will refuse to reciprocate.

Some people like Brian Juel and, well, many others.

Brian and Cindy Zechenelly have a large garage apartment on their property, which they painted purple. An interesting color choice, inspired by The Painted Ladies, the row of Victorian houses in Alamo Square. Now, there’s really nothing wrong with that but their neighbor seemed pretty miffed about it. Odd, huh?

Not only did Brian Juel express displeasure over the color, he also felt differently about the fact that his neighbors had a house bigger than anyone’s in the neighborhood – a house that blocked his waterfront view.

Brian Juel wasn’t the only one who disliked the bright-colored garage apartment. Apparently, two dozen others were pretty disappointed about it, too. It even reached a point where they created a petition against it, stating that the purple apartment affected the value of their homes.

As if that wasn’t enough, Brian Juel decided to do more about it beginning with his lawnmower which he used to write the word “a-h*le” on the grass.

He even included an arrow for good measure. He thought it was visible only to the owners of the purple apartment. He was wrong.

Unfortunately for him, Google Earth picked up a screenshot of it and it immediately went viral. As expected, there were mixed reactions to the strong message.

“If he didn’t want his views of the ocean blocked he should have bought the lot. I think the guy on the mower has envy issues.”

Another one said:

“I mean if it’s his property he can do whatever he wants😂😂 I’m so confused.”

There was also someone who commented:

“If the neighbor worked hard for his money and decided to build a big house then you should be mad at yourself for not being successful enough to buy the land for yourself.”

They do make good points there. The neighbor’s choice of color shouldn’t affect you to the point of mowing an offensive message and having others discuss the choices you make for your own property.

Brian Juel was expecting the negative reactions.

He responded to the comments by saying he’s well aware that it’s everyone’s right to build whatever they choose but he also emphasized how certain choices could easily affect others.

Then, he also shared his plans for planting a weeping willow tree between his home and the purple building.

As for the sign? No one knows if it’s still there but the evidence is definitely not going anywhere. Perhaps Brian should think twice the next time he’s tempted to react to other’s choices.
