One man honored his late wife in an extraordinary manner.

He planted 6,000 oak saplings.

Several years later, a man in a hot air balloon stumbled upon something within the trees he had planted.

Winston Howes and his beloved wife, Janet, crossed paths in 1962, instantly falling in love and spending every waking moment together after that.

Their relationship is one that everyone yearns for, rarely engaging in arguments and showering each other with affection.

Upon the unexpected passing of Janet in 1995, after 33 blissful years of marriage, Winston felt compelled to create a remarkable tribute in her honor.

But what could he do?

After wondering for some time, he had thought of a remarkable way to honor his wife.

He ended up deciding to embark on a heartfelt endeavor utilizing trees, which stole hearts across the globe.

Every week he would plant some trees until his vision had come to life.

His dedication persisted until the total count reached an impressive 6000 oaks.

Many years later the trees had matured and grown to reveal his touching tribute.

17 years later, all was clear.

Someone passed overhead in a hot air balloon drifting over their vast fields, laying eyes on a secret concealed within the thriving trees.

Andy Collett found himself gazing upon a giant heart.

The mesmerizing sight was hidden in the oak trees.

Nearly two decades later, Winston’s declaration of love was now unveiled, captivating the world with its sheer beauty.

From a birds-eye view, Andy saw a heart etched in the trees, a sight that left him breathless.

The apex of the heart points to Janet’s childhood home.

To further enhance the heartfelt tribute, Winston also carefully planted daffodils at the heart’s core, creating a vibrant bloom every spring.

Now in his seventies, Winston strolls among the oak trees, indulging in memories of the woman he lost years ago.

Winston said to the Daily Mail, โ€œI thought it was a great idea, it was a flash of inspiration, and I planted several thousand oak trees. Once it was completed we put a seat in the field, overlooking the hill near where she used to live.โ€
