When you are able to complete a project and you see the finished product, you can’t help but be proud of it, right?

Of course, we would definitely want to test it out right away. In this case, Joe Ballew wanted to show off his finished work of art to everyone.

Ballew built a tall fence and the main purpose of this was to keep his dog, Stella in the yard. Nice idea, right?

Ballew even constructed the fence all by himself and look how beautiful it is! Nice choice of wood, well-built and looks really sturdy, and most of all, it’s really beautiful. There was no doubt in the dog dad’s mind that he had built the perfect solution to his dog’s jumping antics.

It didn’t have any paint yet but that’s okay. It actually looks better just like that. No wonder he is so proud of his work – who wouldn’t be?

The fence may have taken him a long time to complete but it’s all worth it since he really wanted his beautiful, playful pup to stay in the yard.

The video is just 18 seconds long, but it already has more than 4M views. So we know you’re really curious why.

The short video starts as Joe shows the audience his finished work.

“Yep! Just completed fixing this fence, pretty proud of it, I’d have to say,” says Ballew.

Yep, it’s all done and ready to be tested, but wait! Little does the audience know that his “fence” has a flaw.

We can’t expect it to be perfect, right? However, the “flaw” of this fence is very crucial, something that can compromises the use and effectiveness of his work.

If only Joe added a few more inches to his fence. Just a couple would do, and it would be perfect!

Just then, Stella quickly comes to the scene and instead of being disappointed, the good and playful doggo got excited!

Wait, the fence is supposed to keep her inside the yard, right? So, why would she be excited?

Well, Stella knows a challenge when she sees one and her reaction was priceless. It’s as if she saw “play fence” written all over it, and she is ready to put it to the test.

Quickly, Stella runs and jumps over the fence! Yes! Success!

Then a moment of silence…

That’s when Joe realized his fence’s flaw. It didn’t serve its purpose of keeping Stella inside. Instead, it became a new toy for her.

She was clearly more impressed than sad. In fact, she was thrilled to now be able to exercise her agility instead of being kept inside the yard.

That’s the moment when Joe realized everything. The poor guy can only mutter two words…

“Damn it.”

Poor Joe, his excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The good thing for us was that he managed capture the whole debacle on video in less than 20 seconds, and it’s hilarious!

Heartbreaking as it may seem, the people who watch Stella’s stealthy jump skills can’t help but laugh til it hurts.
