Man walks into his room and finds a random, stray cat giving birth in his home
Talk about a major surprise! Even though every birth is certainly special and something that you’ll never forget, a young man named Paris Zarcilla definitely didn’t expect to see a stray cat giving birth to a number of kittens right in his bedroom – yet that’s exactly what happened.
The man, who lives in London, was in for the surprise of his life when he walked into his room to go grab a sweater from the closet.
He noticed that someone was inside, and quickly found a stray feline four-footer underneath his bed. But it didn’t end there – because the cat was giving birth to a number of kittens.
Zarcilla just became a human dad to a litter of kittens in a matter of minutes! After he made sure that the cats were safe and sound, he decided to snap a few pictures and share them on his personal Twitter-profile. And all of this happened simply because he needed to grab a sweater…
It’s safe to say that the man was quite shocked at how everything unfolded so quickly.
“So… I JUST FOUND A CAT THAT IS NOT MINE AND IT HAS HAD BABIES UNDER MY BED,” he posted on Twitter.

It didn’t take long before the whole story went viral. At the time of writing, Zarcilla has amassed more than 154,000 likes and made sure to update everyone about his new furry friends.
“Paternal instincts kicking in. Overwhelmed with feels. Don’t know how to deal,” he said.
The young man knew that he needed to do something, as they needed help and didn’t have enough food or other necessities. Right away, the man canceled his plans for the day and spent time on the internet ordering cat food and finding out how to take care of these adorable little furballs.
“Cancelling all my plans. Crawling under the bed to spend the rest of the day with my four new children. #newdad”
“Cuteness update: I’m dying” he tweeted with a new picture of the litter.
Zarcilla clearly takes his fathership very seriously.
“I am living for these babies. Any work commitments I have are now temporarily on hold. Sorry I’m a dad now.”
“Just cancelled my order for comics and single malt whiskey. Now buying cat food. This is fatherhood yo! I’m here for this”
Even though all of Zarcilla’s tweets were humorous and in good fun, the young man later actually revealed that the cats came at just the right time for him, as he was struggling with depression. He sees this a sign and finding these kittens underneath his bed brings him great comfort.
“This is too much. I’m approaching nirvana. I legitimately suffer from anxiety attacks and depression and my capacity to deal with it recently has been waning. The Cat Gods have smiled upon me with benevolence and turned the monsters under my bed into kittens.”
As for the cats, the young man planned to take the mother to the veterinarian to see if she had a microchip. He wanted to adopt all of them including all of the kittens, promising to always take care of them.
“To my cat sons and daughters, I’ll be the hero you deserve, but not the one it needs right now (because of mama cat). So I’ll hunt for you, because I can afford it. I’ll be your silent guardian, your watchful protector. Love, #CatDad.”
The man also wanted to thank everyone on Twitter who left a like or a comment for their support.
“Unexpectedly discovered more than kittens but also the hidden depths of my own capacity to love. Cat Twitter, thank you. You’ve been a wonderful source of support.”
It’s amazing how a person’s life can just change in one moment – and it seems like this kind young man and these kittens were destined to find each other. How adorable!
