Maxx Chewning and his absolutely adorable four-footer Dood are the best of friends and practically inseparable. Dood is most definitely his owner’s best friend, and they simply adore each other. When Dood’s first birthday was approaching, Maxx knew that he wanted to do something special for his loving pup.

The first birthday is always special, and the man needed the whole town to know about his dog’s special day.

There are a couple of ways to make sure everyone remembers a birthdate, but renting a billboard probably isn’t one of the first things that would pop into our mind. However, Maxx thought that it would be absolutely amazing to spread the message, but more importantly, spread some cuteness and love by putting Dood’s adorable smiling face on the billboard as well.

He looked into renting electronic billboards and quickly found one in town he could use for a special and hilarious birthday message to his dog.

“The billboard company had never heard of anything like this and they were excited for something creative and fun to be on their digital screen,” the man said to The Dodo.

Maxx’s inner circle of friends and family thought he was absolutely crazy and that it was a waste of money, especially since Dood wouldn’t actually be able to read the billboard.

The man’s response can only be described as hilarious and witty.

“I don’t even have a girlfriend so I’m not spending any money on that, so why don’t I spend it all on my dog?” he said on his YouTube channel. “Seems like the better option, to be honest.”

And when we say that these two are absolutely inseparable, we mean it – Dood even accompanies Maxx to work every single day. And when his human owner does have to step out of the house without him for a bit, Dood will be waiting for him at home to overwhelm him with love, licks, and cuddles.

“Dood is a very energetic puppy who loves to be around people as much as possible,” the young man added. “He goes with me everywhere I go, and I bring him to work every day.”

“Every time I walk through the door he bursts up from the ground and greets me with a bundle of energy and love. Dood is a great dog and he truly has brought happiness into my life. He is my best friend.”

Maxx made a vlog about the special day, and he filmed everything from beginning to end. First up was a small present for Dood.

The two drove to the local Starbucks to get a special ‘puppocinno’ drink. They also passed the billboard, which reads ‘Happy Birthday Dood!’ in large letters and features an image of a smiling Dood as well. The dog didn’t really seem to interested in the billboard itself, but their fun day of activities was just getting started.

After playing around all day and eating a custom-made dog cake, the duo then returned to the billboard at night.

“Look at that, Dood! Everyone’s so happy to see your face up there,” Maxx said.

They also made a quick stop to the pet store, cause Dood could pick out a special toy for his birthday.

“I let him pick out anything he wanted. He gets spoiled every day, so basically his birthday is all the time.”

One thing is for sure: the love and affection these two have for each other is just absolutely adorable.

“I think getting Dood was probably one of the best things I’ve done in my life and he brings a lot of happiness to my day … that I didn’t know that I needed,” he concluded.
