If you don’t think that coffee is a true lifesaver, you might think so now. A kind man managed to rescue three kittens from the frozen ice with nothing more than his lukewarm morning cup of coffee.

On a snowy morning, Kendall Diwisch thought that he spotted some dumped garbage near one of his wells.

However, when he heard cats meowing and crying, he realized that what he thought was garbage, were actually animals that desperately needed help.

Kendall came across three helpless kittens, with their paws frozen in the ice. The man believes that they’ve been stuck there for the entire night, and he even suspects that the animals were abandoned by someone. “This is cruel”, he said in the video he took.

“So today I found these three fellows on one of the back roads near one of my wells. Most likely dropped off. Poor things were frozen into the ice so they had to have been there all night,” the man posted on Facebook.

Luckily, one of the poor felines managed to get out of the ice without minimal effort, and Kendall was happy to help. However, the kitten’s two friends needed a lot more help, because their tails and paws were completely frozen and they were stuck in the cold ice.

Kendall knew that brute force wasn’t the option, but he had a great alternative.

He figured that pouring his coffee cup over their tails would melt the ice and do the trick, and it worked!

As soon as the lukewarm coffee did its work, the ice began to melt and these kittens could finally move around again.

The man’s rescue efforts didn’t stop there, because he took all three kittens home with hem and made sure that they were okay. He gave them plenty of water and food to make sure that they were fully healthy again, and he even dewormed them.

After he brought the four-footers inside, he asked his friends on Facebook if anyone would have a home for the three kitten siblings.

“Took them home fed and watered them they look to be healthy and friendly. If any friends are looking to have a new addition in their family, let us know as they will need homes. All three look to be males, and we also gave them dewormer.”

Luckily, the man’s post was shared by thousands, and he was suddenly overwhelmed with adoption offers.

Because Kendall preferred not to separate these three siblings, he decided to bring them to a family who wanted to take all three of them in. With two daughters in the family, these four-footers definitely won’t get bored and will have human playmates in the house.

“All three little rascals went to their new home today where they get to be together instead of separating them. All three are eating and drinking and very energetic. Thanks for everyone’s consideration and offering to take them very appreciated,” the man posted in an update.

Moral of the story: never go outside without your cup of coffee. What an amazing rescue!
