It is going to be difficult for Taylor Parker of Spring Hill, Tennessee to ever shower with a sense of security ever again. That is because a shower he took recently ended in perhaps the strangest way a shower has ever ended before.

Parker’s ill-fated shower attempt ended when he felt his home start to shake and his dog burst into the bathroom in a clearly agitated state. Was the house under attack? What is going on?

Taylor Parker can’t believe what happened to his home.

“It’s like a dream,” Parker told NewsChannel 5. “You cant fathom that somebody just went through your house, it just doesn’t seem real.”

Parker heard a noise that sounded like it might be a helicopter. He also felt everything shake like there was an earthquake.

“In the shower, wife’s gone, and my dog just runs in the shower freaking out, and my house basically is shaking,” Parker told Williams on Home Page.

He said he felt the home shake for about 25 seconds before grabbing a towel and heading for the front door.

A bulldozer was ramming his home.

So, Parker heads outside and what does he see? A large bulldozer ramming into his home and digging up his yard. It must have been a lot to take in. He approached the driver, a man named Duane Larose.

“I flagged the guy to stop, jumped in front, basically yanked him out,” Parker recalls.

Thankfully for Parker’s family, his wife and kids weren’t home at the time. Only Parker and his dogs were on the property during this truly ridiculous incident.

“Luckily the kids weren’t home, so they’re not shaken up,” Parker said.

What was the bulldozer driver doing?

There are no clear answers to this question. He was supposed to be working on a home down the street but for reasons that aren’t clear to anybody, he drove the bulldozer off that property and onto Parker’s.

“When I asked him what he was doing, he didn’t really answer,” Parker said. “I said, ‘you just put a hole through my house,’ and he said, ‘I didn’t hit your house.’ I think he was on some kind of drugs, because he didn’t know what he did.”

Imagine being Parker. A guy has just rammed a bulldozer into your home and when you confront them their response is basically, “No, I didn’t.” Parker would continue to say that the bulldozer operator told him the damage to his home must have been from a tree.

Parker calls the police.

After convincing the man to exit the bulldozer, Parker called the police. Meanwhile, the bulldozer operator’s boss arrived.

“When I was on the phone, his boss came and was down the street, and he was just as livid,” Parker said. “He kind of took him away before anything really happened, and the cops basically showed up within a matter of minutes.”

Larose was arrested but subsequent drug and alcohol tests came back negative.

No explanation for why he drove the bulldozer into Parker’s home.

Lt. Justin Whitwell of the Spring Hill Police Department could offer no explanation as to why the man drove the bulldozer into Parker’s home.

“We have no explanation of [why] the guy [went] to that residence and drove the bulldozer through the house,” Whitwell said. “There were several explanations he tried to give us, but none of them were consistent, so we are still going to do our due diligence in regards to the investigation. As of right now, we have no idea [why] he went to the house — there’s no relation between him and the people that reside there.”

Larose has since been charged with reckless endangerment. Parker has said he’s just glad the damage wasn’t bad enough that he and his family had to move into a hotel.
