Many famous men have bears.

Movie stars, rock stars, and others all grew beards giving rise to the trend.

It’s a hit-or-miss look. Some men can pull it off, while others cannot.

Some would like to, but their partners will not allow it. Beards look good when done properly, but as with anything, some men grow tired of having one.

Meet Ed Carthy — with his one-year-old beard.

Then there’s his hair which he’s been growing for eighteen months. It all started as a joke with his friends, who wanted to see how long he could keep them growing.

The beard itself measures 10 centimeters in length. So, how about that ponytail?

It was all getting a little too much for Ed, so he went to Directors Cut in Aigburth, Liverpool for a shave and a new look.

Ed even told a few amusing stories.

Like when a child asked him if he was Santa.

Ed responded by saying,

“No, but Santa’s my dad. Hopefully one day when I grow up, my dad will let me be Santa.”

Then, at his baptism, he was compared to Jesus. No one would have objected if he had turned water into wine during lunch. This is a sort of baptism for Ed. New life, new beard.

All these stories were told while the barber worked.

Shaving here and there, revealing Ed’s young, handsome face. He’s not a bad-looking guy at all. But he appears to be much younger now!

Scroll through the video’s comments and you’ll notice that the ladies are all about Ed’s new look.

“I love the new look. 50 years younger. Before, you looked like a scraggly methhead. Now, you’re a handsome dude.”

“You can actually see his face…he’s so handsome”

“Damn, he looks good! 😅”

They’re not wrong, are they?

Certain topics do divide people and spark heated debates. Politics, religion, engine oil, and… beards!

These are topics that most people avoid, whereas others enjoy a good argument. Which almost always leads to a conflict.

However, Ed’s beard is not one of them!

He now has over three million views!

“Yeah, I feel like my face has come back. Its cold. It’s very cold. And that’s a strange sensation cause I’v not rubbed my face for nine, ten months.”

He says this while stroking his chin.

It must have felt liberating to shave all that hair off.

It’s like taking off your work clothes after a long day. He can now save money on shampoo as well. He’ll need less!

We don’t know if he has a girlfriend or a wife, but it appears that he wouldn’t have a hard time finding someone if he wanted to.

He’s gone viral and it wouldn’t be a surprise if strangers on the street recognized him.

Then approached him for some selfie or asked his number.
