If one thing is true about weddings it’s that you can’t involve kids and expect the show to go off without a hitch.

We’ve all seen crying ringbearers and flower girls (hey, that’s a lot of eyes on you suddenly) or other runaway members of the wedding party.

And, let’s face it, weddings are actually pretty boring for kids.

But sometimes they even insist on taking center stage.

So it likely came as no surprise to one couple getting married back in 2011 that their 3-year-old flower girl was not exactly a model of self-control.

We don’t know what one little princess thought of the big day once it came, but we do know she needed some saving at the end.

But like we said – she’s 3.

The video has been shared many times over the last 9 years, but one upload by “highlightsvideopro” has over 2.6 million views alone! Because regardless of the mini-crisis, it’s still pretty adorable.

Just look at these two cuties!

Little Joie and pageboy Lane are simply heart-melting as they get ready to walk down the aisle together.

There are some giggles and lots of cameras pointed at them though (imagine what that looks like to a kid!). A nervous mom and at least two Marines stand behind them at attention.

The only thing that looked off was a kid in the back row giving them the stink-eye, which distracted them for a bit.

But they quickly got their eyes back on the road ahead.

It’s pretty impressive that they made it all the way down the aisle calmly – especially considering some of the stories viewers shared in the comments!

“The one time I was a flower girl I ran screaming down the aisle because there was a bee in my flower basket. Not my proudest moment, but hey I was 3,” recalled one woman.

Not so for Joie and Lane.

The problem only came once they made it to the steps. Have you ever tried to climb stairs in floor-length tulle?!

Impossible!

Lane makes it up easily, but Joie is living the struggle.

Joie is forced to quite literally climb up the stairs – at least until Prince Charming steps up in the form of one of the many U.S. Marines stationed around the church.

He holds out a gloved hand to help the little lady up the remaining steps.

You can see the flashes going off on the sweet scene as people try to capture the moment on camera.

The Marine ends up simply picking her up and placing her on the very top step so she can take her place on stage with the bride and groom.

Except that’s when Joie decides “hey, it’s pretty nice up here!”

She stands there admiring the scene – perhaps in awe of all the flowers and feeling like she’s in a princess movie.

But the real kicker is when she decides it’s so lovely that she’s going to take a front-row seat.

So she plops down right in the middle of everything!

We like her style, but of course that just won’t do. The bride still needs to walk to the altar!
