They shot to fame when they won the first-ever season of America’s Best Dance Crew. Since then, they’ve gone all over the world, wowing audiences with their amazing moves. And yes, they all wear masks when they perform.

Since 2015, The Jabbawockeez have been performing in residency at The MGM Grand.

But sometimes, they find that the stage is just too restrictive. One of these occasions was captured on camera.

It all began when the dancers walked into the MGM Grand’s lobby. A group of people were lying down.

People had already realized that something interesting was going to happen. So they all formed a circle around the people and were amazed when The Jabbawockeez walked into the space.

The Jabbawockeez all stood in the middle of the cleared space. Uptown Funk, the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars hit, started playing.

The people gathered around started moving to the beat.

Then the lying down people all started rising. At first, The Jabbawockeez were all moving around the area as if confused.

Then four of them started moving with the people that had been lying down, who were now serving as backing dancers. A fifth Jabbawockee stood in front of the others, as if orchestrating the whole thing.

When the lyrics said “Stop!” most of the dancers did. But the Jabbawockee who had been orchestrating the others then started dancing.

He then stopped himself, as if only realizing everyone else had frozen.

Then all of the Jabbawockeez started dancing in sync with the backing dancers, moving side to side across the space.

For the next couple of minutes, the group made the space their own. All of the dancers, both masked and unmasked moved around each other with precision.

When the performance was over, everyone cheered. Then the Jabbawockeez all posed for photos with fans.

Luckily, this footage then made its way onto YouTube. It soon went viral. To date, it has gained over 18 million views. It also has more than 150,000 likes and almost 1,000 comments. People have been saying things like this:

Of course, some cynical people will think that this performance was orchestrated just to promote the Jabbawockeez’s residency. But so what if it is?

Las Vegas is a city that’s all about spending money and artificiality. That’s not for everyone, but many people can appreciate Las Vegas and this performance for what they are: lots of fun!

It sure is expensive to see a Jabbawockeez show. In fact, ticket prices range between $50 to $110. But the dance group has been performing their residency at these prices at the MGM Grand since 2015. They sure must have made a lot of money!
