Matteo Bocelli performs chilling cover of one of Queen’s hit songs

Andrea Bocelli is one of humankind’s valuable treasures.

Diagnosed with congenital glaucoma at only five months old, and then suffering a traumatic head injury from playing football at age twelve, he has since been completely blind. Yet it has not stopped him from forging a career as one of the world’s most notable vocalists. People may fail to notice that in the Bocelli family, the apple may not fall far from the tree…

. It is a wonderful word: gratitude is a state of mind, a way of interpreting reality, a sentiment that helps us to draw lifeblood from every breath. . Thanksgiving is a precious holiday because it helps us to reflect on the miracle that is life, the world around us and the nature from which we draw nourishment. . Setting off for my pre-Christmas tour in the United States, I am thinking about this great, extraordinary country that welcomes me every time I go there and that invented this holiday, four centuries ago. I am thinking with gratitude about the genuine kindness – which only continues to grow – that Americans show me (including my recent nomination for the 2020 Grammy Awards, which quite literally moved me). . On a special day, dedicated to a country that is just as special and to a state of grace that is the key to giving value to our existence, I would like to wish you all, from the bottom of my heart, a happy #Thanksgiving Day! . Matteo, Andrea’s son, is the next generation of talent, and a strong one at that!

He is a chip off the old Bocelli block. Sounds like he has got a bright career ahead of him. He has a clean and beautiful angelic voice. His technical piano skills are a great addition. All that, plus every bit as charming as his father.

Father and son collaborate from time to time, and they do amazing performances.

Two generations of heavenly voices together, they make an incredible duo. Imagine growing up with a mentor like Andrea Bocelli in your own house! That’s a first-class education for sure!

Matteo chooses a song that is perfect for swooning. A beautiful love ballad.

It’s Queen’s “Love of my Life”, written and performed by Freddie Mercury himself. Anyone hoping to do this song justice would have some immense shoes to fill. This young and powerful vocalist with talent flowing through his veins can indeed show us how.

Matteo’s voice suits the song’s sweet and slow melody perfectly.

He gives the song some of his own styles. Where Freddie Mercury’s wonderful vocal control flaunts small trills, Matteos offers some of the signature Bocelli weight, giving it great depth. It’s Freddie’s beautiful song like you’ve never heard it before.

His singing is so passionate.

When a musician pours his entire soul into a song, it is very enjoyable to watch. Such is the case with Matteo’s version of this song. He is completely in the moment. What a treat to see!

Offering the perfect soft tone is his piano skills.

Seeing someone so talented with different skill sets leave us inspired with awe. At the same time, it makes us envious with fury! Will you please save some talent for the rest of us?

Matteo raises with intensity as the song builds up.

Toward the end of the song, the talented vocalist that he is, Matteo brings the intensity of an opera-house performance into his living room. At a time like this, when we are all isolated in our homes, many people are wondering what to do with their time. For Matteo, it is obvious, he will not stop performing.

Italy has been tragically affected by COVID-19, Matteo’s message hits us all.

In the video’s description, Matteo quotes a few choice lines for the song, which seem all the more poignant at this time:

“You will remember/ When this is blown over/ Everything’s all by the way… #oneworld #staysafe #staystrong”
