Man builds a whimsical village for his adorable mice friends

“A mouse never entrusts his life to only one hole.” – Plautus

What would be your first reaction if you happen to see a mouse in your home or garden?

Most of us would scream, grab a broom or even be as fast as Usain Bolt as we run for safety.

Simon Dell, a well-known wildlife photographer from the United Kingdom, had a very different reaction when he saw a tiny mouse in his garden.

Dell was tending his lawn when suddenly; he saw something moving in the grass. Curious, Dell waited until the unknown creature showed itself, and to his surprise, he saw a cute little mouse standing like a meerkat.

The tiny mouse didn’t run away; instead, it looked like it was giving Dell a chance to take photos.

Dell was so happy that he went home and took some peanuts to give the tiny “model” mouse.

It all started with a few photographs; soon, Dell found himself watching the little mouse helping himself with the peanuts he bought.

That moment on, Dell knew that this mouse would be his friend. He named the tiny mouse that had a cut on his ear – George.

The next day, Dell woke up and got his toolbox. He went out on his garden and decided to start a beautiful project – a small house for his friend, George, the mouse.

He used a log, a small box, and covered it with some twigs and moss.

Soon after, George, the mouse, moved into his new home.

Dell started getting more ideas on how he can make George feel safe and comfortable. From a simple pile log, the photographer started adding other structures to his friend’s home. One day, Dell was shocked to see another mouse on George’s tiny home.

As it turns out, George now has a wife, and Dell named her Mildred.

Now that his friend has a companion, Dell made sure that he upgraded their home to a bigger and more comfortable place to live.

Time passed, and soon, it looked like Mildred was already expecting. Of course, it was Dell’s promise to make them feel comfortable, so he again started adding more rooms to the mice’s home.

In no time, tiny baby mice started running around the tiny home that he built. From a small house, Dell found himself visualizing a bigger project, and the rest was history.

Dell has now built a hobbit-style village for his mice friends.

As George’s family grew, and so did their village.

The whimsical village is beyond amazing! It’s a paradise for George and his family.

In their village, you can find different five-star amenities like toy cars, motorcycles, baskets of seasonal fruits, and even their own mailbox.

Can you believe that this tiny village has brooms, tables, chairs, and even decorations!

Dell even created a miniature version of himself so he would be able to sit in the village. How cute is that?

Dell invested his precious time and love to create this beautiful village for his friends, and we’re pretty sure that George and his family appreciate Dell so much.

Just look at them living peacefully and happily in their adorable hobbit-style village.
