Michael Bublé gets the chance to perform a duet with his “voice crush”
The world is full of different kinds of musicians. And then there are those that can take classic songs and make them even better. One such artist is Michael Buble. He has this distinct style that infuses every song with romance. He has got to be one of the best at it.
Michael takes on another classic by Kris Kristofferson, “Help me make it through the night.”
“What a beautiful, sad, lonely song. My concept had always been so strong and in my head it was always a duet.”
Michael shares his thoughts about the song. He says he’s never heard it done as a duet before. But to him, the song is a sad story between two people who just wanted to be with each other even for just one night.
He wasn’t sure who he wanted to record it with, but he had a breakthrough after seeing the movie The Greatest Showman. He heard the song “Never enough” in the movie. and he knew he wanted that voice with him on the track. His research led him to Loren Allred, the woman behind the incredible performance.
Loren is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist born of musical parents.
“Never enough” was her Billboard debut. Her performance of the song was so impressive that it got Michael Buble scrambling to find her. She was just who he needed to record a duet.
Listen to their rendition for some guaranteed memories, nostalgia, and even a few tears.
“Come and lay down by my side
Till the early mornin’ light
All I’m takin’ is your time
Help me make it through the night”
That’s just a part of the song. When you hear Michael and Loren singing it, you’ll be pressing repeat over and over again. Grab your loved one too – and if you’re single, don’t lose hope. Just sing your heart out.
He admits he had a “serious voice crush.” When they met, Loren arrived at the studio looking radiant and lovely. Michael is a married man and won’t admit it, but that really looks like a high school crush right there. He even interrupts her singing just to compliment her!
The comments are all praises too.
“I want to hear more duets by Michael Bublé and Loren Allred. This song made my week less melancholic.”
We all do.
“I’d buy a whole album of just duets with these two. Beautiful song.”
So would we. It’s going to play on repeat in the shower, the car, and even at work!
“Michael Bublé and Loren Allred sounded so magical together.”
That’s it! Magic! As if they were destined to sing together.
Michael and Loren had such great chemistry. They just had so much fun singing together. They worked so well that they even changed the last part of the song to: “You don’t have to be alone. I’ll help you make it through the night.”
It is such a beautiful rendition. We won’t judge you for listening to it and singing it for weeks to come.
