Meet Milkshake.

He’s a rare pink pug that’s making waves across Instagram. At just about a year and a half, this unique puppy dazzles the eyes and the hearts of everyone that comes across him. And what makes him so special? He is one of less than one hundred pink pugs in the world! His rarity is sensational, and his pink fur and blue eyes are sure to melt you too.

1) Baby blue and pink

Milkshake’s striking appearance is actually caused by a lack of pigmentation. He most likely inherited this from an albino pug somewhere in his family tree.

2) Irresistible

When Milkshake’s owner, 33-year-old Maria, first saw him in his litter, she knew that he was the one. She brought him home at just ten weeks old to live with her in London.

3) Adventure-time

When Maria realized just how special her new puppy was, she set him up with an Instagram account to document their life and times together. The world, too, quickly realized just how important Milkshake was.

4) A large following

Since Milkshake was introduced to the internet he has amassed over 76 thousand followers!

5) Uncommon goods

Maria revealed in a statement that “[he’s] very rare. At the time, I think Milkshake was one of 30 in the world but there have been a few litters. There’s no more than 100 worldwide.”

6) Healthy and Happy

His owner also said of his unique coloring that “he’s not actually albino – he just has the coloring so he doesn’t suffer from any sight loss or hearing loss. He’s a happy healthy boy.”

7) Pampered pooch

Maria has described Milkshake as quirky, happy-go-lucky, and friendly – but she’s also quick to note that he’s become ‘very spoiled’.

8) Puppy time all the time

Milkshake goes wherever his doting owner goes. He attends work meetings with her, and she treats him to the spa on a weekly basis.

9) Trick or Treat

At the spa, this pooch gets pampered. He gets his nails done before she dresses him up for cute photoshoots. At the end of a long day, Maria treats him to pieces of chicken for a job well done.

10) A full schedule

In addition to being an influencer across the internet, this puppy takes part in national dog shows. He also has a trainer who is working to help his future career in advertising and film.

11) An automatic pick-me-up

Maria has commented on Milkshake’s online presence and success, saying “Milkshake is the most famous pink pug on social media. His Instagram started just as a bit fun but straight away he got such a positive response. A lot of people messaged me saying they’d had a bad day and seeing Milkshake really cheered them up which encouraged me to post more. His following just kept getting bigger and bigger.”

12) Undeniably adorable

Milkshake’s online fans have even admitted to becoming ‘star-struck’ after meeting the special pug in the flesh and fur. But who could ever blame them?
