Get ready to feast your eyes on something adorable! In this case, a baby miniature horse with enough spunk and attitude to last her a lifetime.

Sterling Bartow, simply known as ‘Animal Guy’ on YouTube has uploaded a fascinating gallery of videos documenting his miniature horse adventures. A tiny horse, what could be cuter?

What instantly comes to mind are the small collectible toys many of us cherished as a child, but in fact, miniature horses are a real thing!

And no, we’re not talking about ponies! They are in fact a distinguished and separate breed.

Ponies are actually a wide and stout version of a horse, but Horse Illustrated helps to describe the miniature horse breed:

“Miniature Horses, on the other hand, are currently bred to resemble a full-sized horse on a smaller scale. A much smaller scale. According to the American Miniature Horse Association, (AMHA), they must be under 34 inches up to the last hairs at the base of the mane at their withers (Minis are measured in inches rather than hands). The current miniature horse is bred to be more refined than the pony, with a long, flexible neck, straight legs, and a short back.”

While we don’t consider them to be a common breed, they have been dated all the way back to the 1600s. Some bred them as pets for nobility, while others were sent to work in coal mines. Surely they serve a much different purpose these days, and the one in this video is simply the cutest thing.

This baby horse is only three days old but seems to have found her legs and hooves just fine!

In fact, she seems to get a real kick out of chasing her friend Sterling around the pen. Comic hilarity ensues as this tiny horse gears up to tirelessly chase the man around in circles.

And she doesn’t give up! It’s quite a sight to watch the baby horse take on a man triple her size. Happily, she chases him back and forth.

The sweetest thing is when Sterling stops to allow the mini-horse to catch up to him. As the foal catches up to the man she nuzzles him.

This game of cat and mouse is the cutest thing we’ve ever seen!

And all the while, the foal’s mother watches intently, allowing the games to continue. She must be quite comfortable with her breeders.

For the tender age of three days, this baby definitely knows how to get on the move.

Amazingly, foals are able to stand, walk, and trot very shortly after they’re born, within a mere couple of hours.

This miniature horse may never grow to be full-sized, but her heart speaks for itself.
