In many parts of the world, it is common to see a squirrel wander somewhere every now and then. They love climbing up trees, running around people’s backyards, collecting nuts and roaming around parks all day long.

Squirrels are so cute and lovable, there is even a Facebook page, All About Squirrels, dedicated to them.

In the group, people from all over the world post cute photos of the furry animals, some even have them as pets!

One man by the name of Rick Kalinowski had a ton of squirrels lounging around his house so instead of trying to scare them, he decided to welcome them with open arms. The man took to the squirrel-obsessed Facebook group to post pics of what he built for his new furry friends.

After noticing that the squirrels kept creeping into his yard in an attempt to find food, Kalinowski wanted to communicate that they were more than welcome there and that there was no reason to be scared.

To make sure the squirrels really understood this message, Kalinowski had a little welcoming gift for them.

The man decided to make a miniature picnic table for the squirrels so that they could eat their meals there whenever they felt like.

All Kalinowski needed to make the tables was a small amount of wood, a couple of nails which he already had, and of course, his precious time. He put the table on top of his fence and even went as far as to sprawl out some nuts and seeds for the squirrels to snack on.

It was not long until the man started seeing some visitors swing by. A lot of them would pop by the table about two times a day to make sure they were all nice and fed.

The mini picnic table quickly became a safe and fun spot for the groups of squirrels to come and hang out. Realistically, it was also a really neat way of having them all eat together!

“I really believe they love it,” Kalinowski told The Dodo.

Kalinowski believes the squirrels love it and we can’t help but believe him — it is clear to see why they would!

“I appreciate them and they appreciate me,” he said.

The table was initially for the squirrels, but Kalinowski is now realizing that it is actually a little treat for him as well! The table was put on an angle so that he has a view of it from his window, so he goes and checks on them every now and then.

Nothing like an adorable sight like that while sipping on your morning coffee!

The man actually loves to have plenty of natural components to his home so if anything, he is really just using this as an opportunity to thank the squirrels for being there.

The picnic table and its guests make a lovely little addition to the home. It all really elevates the natural, zen vibe of a yard!
