Minuet cat is winning millions of hearts with her super fluffy squirrel tail
Cat lovers can never resist a fluffy coat or a fluffy tail. So, imagine how irresistible a cat featuring a squirrel tail must be!
Bell is a Minuet cat, who has the fluffiest tail you’ve ever seen and it sure resembles that of a squirrel.
Take a close look at her. Now, can you imagine her fighting for a nut in the Ice Age movies? Exactly our thought!
Minuet cats, or Napoleon cats, are a very recent breed originating only a little more than two decades back.
They came along when Joe Smith, a Basset Hound breeder, decided to “invent” a new cat breed that would combine the short legs of a Munchkin with the beauty of a Persian.
This resulted in the Napoleon cat, named after the emperor of France, since he was known to be short.
The first cat was bred in 1996 and the breed was renamed Minuet in 2015.
Minuet cats are super affectionate and loving creatures, ideal for singles or families, including those with children or other animals.
They are very social, playful and easy-going.
Their legs might be short, but rest assured this far from denotes lack of agility! They are strong cats and are always ready to exercise through play.
But, let’s focus on Bell, shall we? Bell is one of the pets that Instagram user ricorico_rico has at home and whose photos he posts on his profile. And his adorable Minuet already has thousands of admirers.
Bell lives with her owner and her fellow pets in Japan. They share a home and they have lots of adventures together, some of which we are lucky enough to enjoy through their Instagram account.
Bell loves to pose when she’s alone, but she also enjoys the time she spends with the other animals of the family.
This fluffy tail of hers couldn’t be cuter. However, the fluff-ball requires some extra care from her owner.
The lush coat that Persian cats and Minuets are known for is prone to matting, so it requires brushing about twice per week to prevent tangling and in order to keep it healthy- and shiny-looking.
Other than that, however, one could say Minuets are some of the healthiest cats out there.
Although they partly come from the Persian breed, they have been specifically and carefully bred so that major health issues that Persians often suffer from are avoided.
Some of them are epiphora (excessive formation of tears), stenosis (narrowing and blockage) of nasolacrimal ducts, as well as flattened facial features.
All of the above traits and benefits Minuets offer, and the medical complications they don’t, make them irresistible and adorable.
Bell sure is! This can easily be proved by the numerous comments her photos receive on Instagram.
“Adorable baby,” someone wrote, while someone else commented: “Love this photo, such a lovely cat,” on one photo of her.
So far, the Instagram account that features Bell has 163K followers- she’s quite a celebrity, right? We really can’t wait to see what her next adventure holds!
