Mom who’s been pregnant every year since getting married announces her 12th child’s on the way

If you think this could only happen in a Steve Martin movie, better believe it could also happen in real life.

Many mothers dream of raising a big family. They imagine a life with boys and girls running around their homes and while it may result in a lot of chores, it could also create a house of big love.

During her 13 years of marriage, Courtney Rogers has welcomed 11 children into this world.

She is rarely seen without a bump and always tows a full football starting line-up behind her. She and her husband Chris have six boys and five girls.

But now baby #12 is on the way!

“We want to have more if we can,” Courtney told The Sun.

“We want to have 12 children, a family of 14 even.”

The twelve’s-a-crowd home is not new to them as her husband is the eldest of ten children and her being the eldest of six.

He even joked about having as many as his mother had.

And if raising two kids is already hectic for some, the Rogers are more than happy to have their hands full. The family lives on a 12-acre plot in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is more than enough knowing that each kid can have an acre to themselves to play in.

Courtney and Chris are very much involved in raising their kids.

“The kids want us to be like the film Cheaper by the Dozen, where the parents compromise their careers to raise 12 children,” Courtney told The Sun.

The Rogers home-school all their kids and teach them chores in between.

Courtney admitted that she loves seeing them learn and knowing what her kids are learning. And if one kid asking questions is already tough for you, Courtney can answer her kids’ curiosities while having another baby in her arms and changing a nappy.

The couple had to be smart with their finances as well.

Just to give you an idea, their monthly food bill costs $1,200 (£975). That’s not yet including other needs like clothing, utilities, and school materials. To ease their expenses, the couple agreed to skip giving gifts to each other so they can give presents to the kids instead. They still go on holidays too, driving around in their 15-seater van.

The couple wouldn’t trade this for anything.

They love raising a house full of love and energy and enjoy being parents to all twelve of them. And if they’re doing great in meeting their kids’ need for affection and material, people shouldn’t be too quick with their judgment.

“I do not regret having so many children – the more the merrier as far as I’m concerned,” Courtney told The Sun.

“Chris and I love being parents and, as a family, we have a great time together.”

We sure hope that Baby 12 got plenty of sleep because once she comes out, she’s in for a lot of sibling fun.
