Mom teaches apartment management a lesson after growing tired of bed bugs

Whether you are living in your own home or you’re renting the property, you should feel comfortable and safe. You should be able to sleep at night and have no worries about your own health.

A woman from Ohio felt uncomfortable and unsafe in the apartment she was renting.

And it wasn’t because of thieves or nosy neighbors. It was because of the insects inside their home.

The woman and her son have been living with bed bugs for about eight months.

Through those nights, they didn’t get to have a decent sleep. They were constantly worried about the bugs and how they can affect their health.

She said:

“We stay up at night. I’m so paranoid about it.”

It was bad.

The woman did everything she could to explain what their lives look like to the apartment management.

As a response to her complaint, the management sent the maintenance crew who sprayed around the house several times. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

The infestation got worse.

The woman and her son have to sleep on the floor. She even had to throw out all her furniture which cost her a fortune. Despite what she did, the management didn’t put in the effort to help solve her problem.

She got her revenge.

Because of the management’s failure to take her problem seriously, she decided to get her point across.

The woman put the bugs in a plastic container. Then, she went to the management office and there, she spread the bugs around. She literally released the bugs inside the bug.

She said:

“I got fed up. I took the bed bugs to the office and I gave them back what they gave me.”

The woman might face serious consequences.

She could face several legal charges, like criminal mischief and vandalism. Although that’s a huge possibility, she’s not showing any signs of regret

In fact, she’s planning on moving out with her son. And before they move, she plans on spreading more bed bugs to the office.

A lot of people can relate to her problem.

A person who was able to watch her interview said:

“Good for her… I would have collected all of them from the mattresses and furniture… put them all the furniture and on the carpet and clothes… see how they like living with these nightmares… i know what shes going through ive been through it… wouldnt wish it on anyone…”

On the other hand, there are people who disagree with her, too. One viewer said:

“It is not the responsibility of the landlord. Everyone who lives in the building must work together otherwise they will just continue to spread. It is now a problem for the entire U.S. and cannot be blamed on anyone. It is not a question of being dirty but it IS a question of being careless. The longer you ignore the problem or try to make someone else responsible, the worse it will be! Everyone must work together.”

Bed bugs aren’t known to transmit diseases.

However, they can cause a wide range of physical, mental, and economic problems. For one, their bites can trigger allergic reactions. Some effects are mild, like itching and red spots on the skin. In some cases, it can cause a severe and whole-body reaction known as anaphylaxis.

People who live in infested homes can also suffer from insomnia and anxiety which are bad for their mental health.
