Reunion videos of animals and their humans never fails to bring smiles and tears to viewers. You could be having a horrible day but seeing these types of reunions melts all those worries away.

Nick Pierzchalski met a young shepherd mix while on his tour of Iraq. Nick is part of the National Guard in Florida and serving his country gives him great pleasure.

The adorable dog loved Nick and immediately bonded with him. It was clear to everyone that they were inseparable. Nick and his friends decided to care for the shepherd mix as if she was their pet.

The guys put in the work and built their new pet an enclosure. The dog’s presence was a huge boost to morale for all the guys.

It’s amazing what a dog can do!

When Nick’s tour of Iraq was over and he returned to the US, he began to miss the shepherd mix and soon realized that he wanted to keep the dog around forever.

He spent most of his time wondering about the adorable shepherd. Nick knew he had to make a move or else risk losing the dog forever. SOmeone else could claim her and keep her.

And make his move he did!

Nick did what he needed to do, making all the arrangements required so he could be reunited with his furry friend. The sweet dog was found and collected in Iraq.

She was eventually flown into Tampa International Airport.

SPCA International assisted the National Guard in the adoption process. Fox 13 New Channel even broadcast the reunion between Nick and the dog live!

The sweet moment between Nick and the dog, touched everyone involved. People were thrilled that the two best of friends were able to see each other again after a long time.

Nick had doubts and was even worried that the shepherd mix wouldn’t recognize him. He shouldn’t have been as there was never any doubt. The moment the sweet dog was released from her cage, she ran right up to Nick and nuzzled right up to her old friend.

Go ahead and dab away at those tears!

Nick’s furry female friend whined happily as he gave her all of the love he had been saving. He gave her lots of pets and snuggles, scooping her right up and showering her with affection.

The world needs more of these moments that’s for sure.

Nick is definitely looking forward to spending the rest of his life with his dog. The house and yard are ready, food is abundant, and there will be lots of cuddles and love for years to come.

There will be tons of happy memories made between this man and his best friend. From Iraq to America, these two share a bond unique and special to them. And we’re glad they’re together again.
