Hey guys, Bryant and Jenni here. This story just melted our hearts so we thought we’d share it with you! After this elderly man passes away, his daughter delivers 14 years’ worth of Christmas presents he had purchased for his neighbor’s 2-year-old daughter.

The family was blown away, the kind gesture warmed their hearts and now they have a new Christmas tradition.

The 87-year-old man had such a kind heart, he had purchased over a decade worth of future presents for his neighbor’s child

Ken Watson, was an 87-year-old daredevil, with a heart of gold. His neighbors loved him, he’d often be outside doing things most elderly people wouldn’t dare attempt. One neighbor, he got particularly close with, was Owen Williams and his 2-year-old daughter, Cadi.

“I went out to investigate and there was Ken in navy overalls bouncing across the face of his house at the top of a 20ft ladder. He was 83 at the time. That just summed him up, really.” Owen said of the first time he met Ken.

Sadly, Ken passed away right before Christmas 2018, leaving the neighborhood missing an important presence

Even though Ken was gone, he had a funny way of melting everyone’s hearts from afar. The Williams family heard a knock on their door, they were surprised to see Kens Daughter standing there holding a huge sack.

The daredevil, who would often be seen doing risky stunts like standing on flying planes, had a special soft spot for their 2-year-old daughter.

Inside the massive plastic bag, were presents for their daughter, enough for the next 14 years’

Cadi is too young to understand it now, but when she gets older she’ll be able to see how touching this is. Although they were tempted to open all the presents at once, the Williams resisted the urge and now have a new Christmas tradition!

“We’re definitely going to open one every year till 2032, by the way. It’ll be our way of remembering an immensely generous gentleman— our new Christmas tradition.” Said Williams.

Ken thought he’d live to be 100-years-old, so he’d purchased the presents preparing to give them to Cadi himself

The gifts are a testament to Kens giving nature, 2-year-old Cadi will have a special gift every year until she’s 16-years-old.

Williams shared the beautiful story to Twitter and the internet went nuts!

People all over the internet appreciated Ken’s kindness, Williams gave his social media a peek at the first present Cadi opened from Ken, a children’s book called “Christmas Eve At The Mellops.”

Williams even shared how his dog misses Ken and has been sad since he passed.

“Our dog loved him. I mean, genuine visceral love. It was mainly due to the chocolate digestive biscuits he gave her on first meeting. She’d scream whenever she saw him. Really scream. Like a banshee. He’d call her ‘my darling’ and ‘sweetheart’.” Williams posted to Twitter

Ken was a genuinely good guy who left an enormous hole in the community. At least the Williams family have a wonderful reminder of their loving friend! Now, Ken can really soar with the planes he loved to walk on.
