The feeling of holding your baby is something no book, movie, or music has ever delineate. No matter how much you prepare yourself, how much you read about “How do I prepare myself as a parent?” Everything changes the moment you hold your baby.

You’ll never know the feeling – not until you feel it yourself.

Rarely anything will ever come close to the feeling of becoming a mother or father. It is when you realize you’re off for an adventure like no other.

Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger, a couple from Ohio, received the happy news immediately followed by a tragic revelation.

While for some couples road to becoming a parent is relatively easier, the story isn’t the same for others. Many couples struggle for years and some even decades for the very moment.

For Lyndsay and Matthew, the road wasn’t easy. While they were excited, their excitement quickly found dismay. The doctors said that their child will be stillborn. A heart specialist said, while there are possibilities for the baby’s birth his life will be short.

In a second, the reality didn’t seem plausible but life gave them a chance, even if it was momentary.

On December 17, the Brentlinger welcomed their twins.

The improbable dream became a reality. Lyndsay told HuffPost:

“I was so happy they were finally here and that Will (one of the twins) was stable. But I was also scared of when I would lose him.”

With the good news, the parent was scared of the inevitable. One of the twins had multiple heart problems and his days were numbered.

There was only one thing that could be preserved: the memories – and the parent did just that.

One of their friends, Mandy Edwards, suggested the couple preserve whatever moments they spend with their child. Mandy Edwards reach out to a local photographer, Lindsey Brown, for help.

Brown obliged to the requested the moment she received it.

“How could anyone with a heart say no to that?”

The photoshoot wasn’t easy but Lindsey knew, she had to make every shot count.

Lindsey Brown told CNN:

It was extremely bittersweet the entire time I was there. They acted and looked perfect. You would literally NEVER have known something was wrong with sweet Will

The couple embraced what destiny had for them. The photographs will always be there but the memories are truly eternal.

Lyndsay plans to preserve the photographs to show them to Will’s sister. She told HuffPost:

“I will use them to tell her about her brother who is now her angel in heaven.”

Will passed away only 11 days after birth, but he will forever live on in everyone’s hearts.
