Usually, police dogs help to prevent robberies. But in this video, the dog completely steals the show.

People across the world have been uploading Git Up Challenges, where they dance to The Git Up by Blanco Brown.

It’s hard to pick the best performance of this challenge. But a contender is the one performed by the Sutter County Sherriff’s Office, the Yuba City Police Department, the Sutter County Courts and the Sutter County Code Enforcement teams. Why? Because it features an incredibly cute dog!

The video begins with a camera panning across an empty parking lot. Then two police cars pull into the lot.

The two officers driving the cars argue about who should be able to get a space. The cops then call up the police officers in the station to voice their grievances.

Soon, the police chiefs of two different departments have walked to the parking spot. One challenges another to a dance-off to see who gets the space.

Then The Git Up starts playing. Two different police departments walk up to each other on the parking lot. On one side, there’s even a police dog!

When the song really kicks off, all the officers start dancing in unison to the beat.

The dog does his best to match the other officers, but he can’t help but get distracted and sniff about curiously. Perhaps he thinks that the officers’ strange movements are the result of narcotics?

The cops all keep on moving. Some of them are better than others. But that’s the whole point of a dance-off!

When the song ends, all of the officers high five. It looks like the song has let them resolve any issues they had.

Then the heads of both departments walk up to the camera and explain how all of the law enforcement officers band together to serve the citizens of their community.

Pretty soon, this video made its way onto YouTube, where it went viral. To date, it has gained over 2.4 million views. It also has more than 22,000 likes and 900 comments. People have been saying things like this:

This performance of The Git Up Challenge may not have as many filming locations or angles as others. But the police dog more than makes up for that.

Police dogs can sometimes come across as scary, but the one in this video just looks so friendly and lovable. It’s hard to imagine him chasing down criminals.

The police officers in this video are all based in Sutter County, California. It’s a pretty safe place, meaning that the cops have a lot of free time. In fact, the crime rates of the city have generally been falling for years. That’s good news for the residents of Sutter County, and great news for lovers of The Git Up Challenge, as the police officers have enough time to put together videos like this!
