Nothing is more exciting or worrisome than learning that you and your significant other are expecting a child.

While that is very normal among younger, healthier couples, it is not something you would hear from a significantly elderly person.

Even so, it’s not uncommon to see much younger ladies with much older men these days. You can’t stand in the way of pure love… and a lot of money.

Considering his age, this much older gentleman is fairly upbeat about life.

He’s a proud man who isn’t afraid to brag about his accomplishments.

He didn’t even discuss it with his doctor. But sooner or later, someone had to inform him.

An 86-year-old man went to his doctor for his annual check-up…

The doctor asked the man how he was feeling, and the 86-year-old said,

“Things are great, and I’ve never felt better! I now have a 20-year-old bride who is pregnant with my child.

What do you think about that, doc?”

The doctor considered the question for a minute and then began to tell a story.

“I have an older friend, much like you, who is an avid hunter and never misses a season.

One day he was setting off to go hunting.

In a bit of a hurry, he accidentally picked up his walking cane instead of his gun.”

“As he neared a lake, he came across a very large male beaver sitting at the water’s edge. He realized he left his gun at home, and so, he couldn’t shoot the magnificent creature.

Out of habit he raised his cane, aimed it at the animal as if it was his favorite hunting rifle, and yelled ‘bang bang’. Miraculously, two shots rang out and the beaver fell dead.”

“Now, what do you think of that?” asked the doctor.

The 86-year-old replied, “Logic would strongly suggest that somebody else pumped a few rounds into that beaver.”

The doctor replied, “My point exactly.”

She must be a very special lady for this 86-year-old to adore.

There are lots of questions to be asked here…

Why is she with him? Are men still able at that age? Who is the other man?

At this point, even the doctor confesses he’s shooting blanks.

The girl is barely twenty years old.

There is no background information on her, but the narrative strongly suggests that she is conning the old man.

And definitely, this girl needs financial assistance.

Why dig for gold in a mine when you can take it from an old rich gullible man?

If this 86-year-old man had any wisdom, he would not confront her right away. What he should do is continue to treat her as he has, but gradually cut her off financially.

And bring her to justice. If he’s as smart as he claims. He could be firing blanks, but that doesn’t mean he should deplete his bank accounts.

In the end, however, we should not pass judgment on anyone.

We’re not sure what’s going on. As the author and clinical psychologist Barbara Markway, Ph.D. mentioned in Psychology Today,

“And finally, remember that judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are.”

This is a humorous story that’s always entertaining and will brighten our day.
