While most CSI crime shows err on the side of dramatic, this story might just show that they aren’t always exaggerated!

It all started with a court case involving the custody of a little girl. Yvette is a four-year-old girl who lived with her father, Virgil Henley, in California. Things got complicated when a judge ruled that Yvette was in danger by staying with her father and granted custody to her grandparents, Gary and Kim Forester.

Normally, this is the end of the story, but things took a turn for the worse.

Instead of turning his daughter over, Virgil fled with her! Despite proving the courts right in their original ruling, Virgil refused to give the girl up to her grandparents.

When everyone realized Virgil had fled, things become dire.

Few things spark as much activity as the safety of a little girl. When she and her father went missing, Gary and Kim did everything in their power to get Virgil and Yvette back to safety.

In a last-ditch effort, Gary and Kim reached out to Virgil’s Facebook friends.

Enter Harry Brown. Harry Brown was friends with a “Mark Johnson” on Facebook. Harry didn’t know that Mark was a common pseudonym used by Virgil to hide his true identity. When Harry heard about the missing girl and realized he “had a way in” with Virgil, he immediately got to work.

“He had been tagged in a meme I liked so we connected on Facebook and spoke a few times about a year ago,” Brown said. “As soon as I got this message I thought wow I need to start trying to message him again cause he thought we were good friends at that point because we’ve had a few conversations before.” – Fox LA

Harry immediately started trying to find out where Virgil was hiding.

Like a real-life Sherlock (he is even from England), Harry started to ask special questions to trick Virgil into revealing his location. Originally, his goal was to get him to screenshot his weather app and reveal his location that way. After a few attempts, things looked grim.

Finally, Harry offered Virgil a pizza to help him feel better.

Virgil was struggling with kidney stones and was totally open to the idea of getting food delivered to his location. When Harry offered him a pizza, Virgil accepted! When Harry got the address, he started shaking with emotion.

Harry delivered the address to the grandparents, who called the police immediately.

When Virgil opened his door expecting a pizza, officers were waiting to arrest him! Even better, Yvette was in the apartment and was taken right to her grandparents!

Thankfully the story has a happy ending.

Gary and Kim didn’t just say thank you, they showed it!

“They had two grand in reward money and they sent that over straight away and they paid for my flight here, flight back, everything,” Brown said.

Even without the reward, the story has an ending that most would be happy to have.
