This koala lost his mother and then found comfort in hugging a stuffed animal

We are all aware of the disastrous wildfires that have been making a major impact on Australia this past year. That is because the wildfires not only affect Australians, but they affect the whole entire world.

And not only have we lost countless human lives due to the natural disasters, but we have also lost far too many innocent animals. Not everyone was able to escape the fires, and it is something that will weigh on us forever.

As animals were suffering, we saw some amazing and very inspiring people do their best to find any way that they could help. For example, these teenage boys decided to hop in a car, drive around and pick up any koala bear that they could find. People like this who are doing good deeds and putting others first just out of the good of their hearts… That is what we need to see more of. Especially during times like these.

Another amazing man is on a similar path, helping as many animals as he can.

His name is Paul Ramos and he is a Nat Geo Wild Vet who specializes in jungle animal rescue. Talk about a fulfilling, life-changing career!

Last month in February, he posted a video of a koala he took in after suffering the wildfires. Sadly, this koala bear lost her mother. After the tragic accident, Ramos did his best to comfort the animal and make her feel safe.

“This little girl unfortunately just lost her mother,” Ramos wrote on Instagram. “People and Nature: Truly we are all connected and we can, and must do better…. to the #wildlifecarer’s, local community and #wildlifevet’s who will step in to take care of her and hopefully, release her back to the wild.”

As he explained, it was his goal to take care of the koala as best as he could so that he can release her back into the wild where she belongs. But it is also on the rest of the people and the local community to keep her safe!

It doesn’t matter if you are human or an animal… We are all connected and it is vital that we all look out for each other, especially during tragic times like these.

Along with his words, Ramos shared a video of the koala who was finding comfort in a stuffed animal shortly after her mother passing away.

The clip shows the koala in someone’s arms, almost looking as if she is crying. Then a stuffed koala bear enters and the real koala moves over to hug it and nibble on it.

The moment is so sad and pure at the same time. It is so sad that the poor animal had to go through this, but it is also so nice that it was found by good people who care enough to try to bring her comfort.

It is sweet that there are people caring for these hurting animals.
