Do you believe in karma? Some do, but others brush it off as a silly practice. Whether or not you do, you just cannot deny the absolute truth that what goes around comes around.

Certain people like to learn things the hard way, though.

Instead of letting the saying “you get what you give” inspire them to show kindness and empathy, they choose the more troublesome route and only regret it once things blow up in their faces.

This is what happened to a couple of thieves who were caught on camera.

Apparently, these two have made stealing packages their full-time jobs.

Instead of finding stable work that would guarantee regular pay, they decided stealing was the best way to earn money. Unfortunately for them, security cameras and karma exist.

The first part of the footage showed a UPS truck pulling up to a house, and the driver alighting the vehicle to drop off three separate packages on the front porch.

Not knowing he was being watched, with no clue at all on what was about to happen next, the UPS driver casually walked back to the truck and drove off.

The next thing caught on camera was the swift movement of a dark blue car idling around the corner.

Once it pulled up to the front of the driveway, a woman jumped out of the passenger seat and headed straight for the packages left at the doorway.

As she tried to make her way back to the car as quickly as she could manage, she ended up dropping one of the boxes, consequently tripping on the landscaping.

Turns out it was a bad fall because footage showed her reaching for her ankle as she let out a loud, “Ouch!” The thief must have sprained something because she showed no signs of getting up and returning to their car.

Once it dawned on the driver that his companion was in pain, he sprinted towards her, picked her up, and carried her all the way to the passenger seat.

Of course, he went back for the packages before speeding off.

Because everything was caught on camera, homeowner David Ababneh of Bothell, Washington was able to upload the footage which immediately went viral.

In a matter of days, the thieves were caught.

37-year-old Alicia Treat and 39-year-old Brian Devere didn’t just steal David’s packages. They were also caught with other packages worth $350.

Fortunately, they didn’t get away with it and had to attend court hearings – shamefaced, with a sprained ankle.

What goes around definitely comes around! Let this be a lesson to those who cheat and steal. Honest, hard work will take you places. Stealing will only land you in court or behind bars – with painful tokens to help you remember.
