One of the world’s most famous a cappella groups, Pentatonix formed in Texas back in 2011. They won the third season of NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’, earning themselves a record contract with Sony, and they’ve never looked back since then.

They’re famous for covering modern pop songs and Christmas classics alike, as well as writing their own material too.

The group has won multiple Grammy Awards and topped the Billboard 200, with fans around the globe enjoying their stunning singing skills and the fun, energetic personalities of each member of the group.

Here, we can see Pentatonix adding their signature style to ‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch’.

With lyrics written by Dr. Seuss himself, this festive classic famously features in the 1966 cartoon special, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The song talks all about the mean habits of the Grinch, and the lyrics are quite unpleasant, but it’s still a super catchy track, especially with the masterful talents of Pentatonix bringing it to life.

The most recent addition to the group, baritone singer Matt Sallee, takes the lead on this one, with the other members of the group using their remarkable voices to provide a beautiful backing track.

Each member appears throughout the video, with Christmas colored backgrounds of red and green placed behind them. They were all filmed separately, with the music video then arranged like a montage, with the faces of each performer appearing in various positions and poses. It must have been quite a big editing job!

As always, the members of the group all sing in perfect harmony, their voices and talents all complementing one another flawlessly from the first second of the song to the last.

The song fits beautifully with Pentatonix’s skills, and their vocal stylings breathe new life into every single beat! Even the Grinch himself might be moved to start singing along if he heard this awesome cover.
