Ever since the war between Russia and Ukraine broke out, the world watched in fear and worry. Just thinking about the safety of the people and how immensely difficult they have it can easily break anyone’s heart.

It was almost impossible to receive positive news from Ukraine until today and it’s a story between humans and their magical bonds with their pet animals.

As per India Today, Ukrainian soldiers turn to their furry friends amid the dangers of the war. Their pet animals remain to give them sources of joy and happiness despite the trying times.

The canines prove their loyalty by staying with their humans no matter what and this truly gives the military men the morale boost they need to survive the seemingly endless fight.

We always knew the loyalty dogs always possess, but it’s just on a whole new level when they stay by their owners’ side even if signs of danger are everywhere. That’s true friendship right there.

Even if dogs can’t speak nor express their own hardships, they seem to still enjoy their lives as long as they keep receiving love and some playtime from their respective humans.

Sometimes, I can’t help but think how animals are so much better than those humans who thrive on injustice and oppression. Dogs are loving, always grateful, and extremely devoted and loyal.

No wonder this human-to-pet connection is helping both parties soldier through the extremely challenging times.

Also, countless Ukrainian civilians were forced to leave their pets behind as they flee from their home country.

For this reason, other nationalities end up rescuing these abandoned animals and even form bonds with them.

It’s heartwarming to realize how despite these men are literally fighting for their lives, they still take the time and energy to help animals in need.

It’s as if they understand the confusion and heartbreak these dogs and cats feel so they try to nurse them as much as possible.

Although it was truly unfortunate, I can only imagine how difficult it was for civilians to decide to leave their beloved pet animals behind.

While some were able to successfully bring theirs with them, some were left with no choice.

I bet they couldn’t help but hope and pray that their former furry companions make it to the hands of loving and compassionate soldiers.

This only goes to show that dogs (and any other pet animals) are men’s bestest friends.

They stay with us through the good and the bad and they only deserve the best this world has to give.

May the universe conspire to keep these military men and their furry friends safe and sound.
