My grandfather passed away today.
Last night all he wanted to do was to have one last beer with his sons. pic.twitter.com/6FnCGtG9zW

Did the same thing with my Dad in May. Cold beer and a Yankee game. My condolences pic.twitter.com/aNSULc7AT8

He just wanted to have a good time.
He claimed that his grandfather much valued this last joyful time. They just enjoyed their final time together knowing what was about to happen.
Even though it appeared to be the end, they realized they had done a tremendous job of making his Grandpa’s final moments joyful and significant.
I totally understand that. Hardest beer I ever drank. ππ»βοΈπ pic.twitter.com/749xf9zNae

It was an incredible send-off.
For 90 minutes, they all drank beer and chatted about their families. In addition, Norbert demanded that everyone swear to look after his wife.
Norbert Schemm passed away peacefully, knowing his family would be cared for, after 90 minutes of time well-spent with his loved ones.
I donβt know you… but I felt this. Days before my grandpa passed he let my dad and I know he wanted a cigar and a beer. We made it happen. Iβm so sorry for your loss. Your grandpas smile is one for the books! pic.twitter.com/HDv3y2kLeA

So sorry for your loss. This picture is truly touching, and one that shows how happy he is in that moment. I’m glad you shared this even though you’re more than likely dealing with an unbearable amount of pain. Great reminder not to take anything for granted.

Adam said that he was first reluctant to upload the photo but stated he was happy that he did. Despite their loss, the praises he received from friends and complete strangers made him and his family happy.
Those who are dying have many final desires. Some others wanted to finish their last drink, while others wanted to play their favorite sport one last time.
Thank you for sharing this moment, Adam. I see a man who left this world with pride and dignity while surrounded by loved ones. Wish you and your family the best in this time of loss.

Whatever their last desire may be, it is only essential that it be fulfilled so they may spend their dying moments with their family and loved ones. Some requests may be simple while others may be grand, but nevertheless, it’s always worth going after.
Losing someone you love so dearly is always the hardest thing to face, but watching them peacefully pass with joy in their hearts provides peace like no other. We only wish that every single person we love gets their “final wish” just like how Norbert did.
People come and go, but let’s try our best to make each moment last.
