Pit bull abandoned in fast-food restaurant dumpster covers her rescuers with wet kisses
This dog had nothing but she paid her rescuers something she could never run out of.
Animal rescue organization Hope for Paws received an e-mail about a dog that was abandoned at a fast-food restaurant.

The organization is based and caters to the Los Angeles area and beyond. They aim to end animal neglect, homelessness, and abuse.

To spread awareness about their advocacy, they put up a YouTube channel to show their rescue videos. From having 14 views, 10 of which were from the founder’s mom, they’ve since grown to 5 million subscribers.
The pit bull rescue is included in one of their videos.
In the clip, rescuers Alex Babcock and JoAnn Wiltz drove into the restaurant’s parking area. At the edge of the parking space is a garbage shed. The said shed became the home to the abandoned dog.
The rescuers immediately greeted the dog as they parked a few meters away from her. They wanted her to know that they’ve come here not to hurt her but to take care of her.
The pitbull, unsure about the rescuers’ intentions, slid into the shed gates.
It was obvious that she was scared but there was no indication of aggression. The rescuers followed her into the shed but were alarmed when the garbage truck arrived.
Wiltz and Babcock knew they had to work fast so that the sanitary staff can do their jobs on time.
They found the dog in the corner of the shed, behind the dumpsters that made her feel safe.
It was not a place for a dog, but for this pittie, it was all that she has in a world that turned its back on her.
The rescuers coaxed the pittie to come closer and tore small pieces from a hamburger and tossed them towards the pitbull. They hoped that by feeding her, she would slowly open up to them.
Warming up took a bit of time.
At first, the pitbull would just look away. She was unsure – hopeful but unsure. At one point, she wagged her tail excitedly when she was being fed. It must’ve been a long while since she had a decent meal.
Finally, the team succeeded in tying a leash around her neck. All the while, they didn’t force her or dragged her.
The pitbull followed them outside the shed. She was reluctant at first, but in the end, she showed them her belly for some rubs.
They named the pitbull Kisses.
And Kisses certainly knew how to show her appreciation.
The team took her into their facility where they gave her a much-needed bath. Earlier in the parking lot, both their hands were blackened by the dirt and soot on Kisses’ fur.
After the bath, Kisses came out a different dog. Not just with her appearance but with her energy as well. She was really scared and anxious the moment they met her, but after the rescue, she kept on kissing the staff.
Kisses is only one of the thousands of dogs abandoned every year. Their hearts are big, and they only need a family that can receive that kind of love. Fortunately, she’s already one step towards that journey.
