Pitbulls are well known as the “tough guy” dogs in our society. Many parents have kept there children from ever being in the company of these misunderstood muscleheads. When in reality, a case can be made that they are just as gentle and loving as any other breed of dog.

This pitbull is striving to change society’s outlook on the breed.

According to a story published by The Dodo, Hades the pit bull is trying to follow in his dads’ footsteps in regard to helping others.

Dr. Juan Jose P. Flores (Hade’s dad) is a dentist in Mexico where he helps people of all ages with their teeth. Although Hades doesn’t really know what his dad does for a living he seems to have been born with some similar traits.

When Hades noticed a homeless cat about to give birth, he leaped into action and moved her into not only his home but gave her his bed to birth her kittens.

In the neighborhood, but remained a stranger.

Dr. Flores mentions that he noticed a stray cat around his house for a while and that he was never able to actually touch it. He also says that he regularly put food out for the cat so it would not starve. What a good person he is and apparently Hades had been paying attention to his dad’s kindness.

One kind gesture deserves another.

While we are not sure that Hades knew the stray cat was needing a place to give birth to her kittens, he sure timed the situation well.

In the same interview with The Dodo, Dr. Flores said, “He was desperate and making a lot of noise.”

Apparently Hades was acting anxious and needed to show him what he had done. With the stray cat settling into her new temporary home, she began to prepare to give birth to her kittens.

Hades stayed right by her side until the two new kittens were out of their mama and into the new world.

From the dog house – to the main house.

When mama had the two new kittens cleaned up and well, Dr. Flores felt that the mama cat and her two new kittens would be safer and more comfortable in the house where he and Hades could keep a close eye on them.

This seems to have allowed Hades to finally get some rest.

Time to think up a name.

After spending some quality time with three cats, he decided it was time to give a name to the mysterious neighborhood kitty. Nicol is what he decided to call her.

Dr. Flores said that when the kittens are old enough he will be looking to find good homes for them and that Nicol will always have a home with him and Hades from here on out.

Excellent advice.

“Pitbulls are good dogs, Hades put everything aside to help someone else. We should do the same without expecting anything in return,” Dr. Flores told The Dodo.

Often times our lives get so busy that we may miss an opportunity to lend a hand or even notice when a hand is offered to us. Be wise and pay attention to the moments that allow us to be caring and to notice when someone else is offering us help!
