The most unforgettable and crazy moments in life are those that we share with our friends, apart from our family of course.

What are the odds of a pig befriending a dog? Or, more specifically a Pitbull, to be exact? Well, apparently greater than one might think.

This rare duo went on an adventure outside their home, but just when the two have started to have some fun the cops showed up to interrupt it.

Meet the Pittie and pig tandem; the runaway pals!

Grizzly the pig and the Apollo the pitbull are two of the most unlikely of friends, which makes their story even cuter.

Nobody thought that a residential neighborhood would be disturbed by two wild pals like this.

Police in Fontana, California received multiple reports about the wandering animals.

They seemed to have snuck out of the house to spend some time roaming around the neighborhood. The little derps were out to terrorize the neighborhood and certainly managed to cause quite the stir.

While the obnoxious companions didn’t incite fear from anyone, they did bring a whole lot of happiness to their neighbors during their short-lived escape.

When the officers finally arrived at what could be considered the “crime scene,” they saw the two buddies sitting on a front lawn, having a rest.

Some peace may have been disturbed by the two, but thee children seemed to enjoy the rare combination of the carefree pig and his Pittie friend.

They were caught red-handed, but not actually under arrest.

The residency of the two was not yet clear. Nobody knew where the little pig and pittie came from.

After seeing that the cops had arrived, Apollo realized their party was over and reluctantly surrendered.

Grizzly, however, wasn’t quite ready to give up the jig and adorably gave the police officers one last dance. Before too long, though, he was finally caught.

How did they manage to get these two ruffians back home?

After getting the pig and petite pair back to the station, it became apparent that Apollo had been micro-chipped. Thankfully, he could be tracked down by their owner, Michelle Aviña, who lives just a few blocks away from where the two had been picked up by the police.

“Someone left our side gate open and they walked out. Usually, they’ll stay in the yard, but I think they were feeling adventurous that morning,” Michelle told The Dodo.

It was still a mystery as to who the mastermind was behind their successful escape, but they made sure everyone realized something; the 2-year-old pittie and the 6-month-old pig are undeniably the best of friends.

“They eat together, sleep together, dig holes together. Wherever Apollo goes, Grizzly is right behind him,” said Michelle.

“Who would ever think, right? A ‘vicious’ pit bull and a pig. But they’re best buds,” Michelle said.

Some consider their friendship rare and here’s why:

The Pit Bull dog breed always comes with a reputation – violence! For most people, just hearing the name of this breed will make them instantly frozen with fear. But they shouldn’t.

This dog breed is described by Dogtime.com as:

“…a companion and family dog breed. Originally bred to “bait” bulls, the breed evolved into all-around farm dogs, and later moved into the house to become “nanny dogs” because they were so gentle around children.”

Michelle said that they just simply love the friendship between their pig and their dog. Grizzly and Apollo’s escape somehow made them realize the dangers of having the two stray from home, so they promised to take additional precautionary measures to make sure their next outdoor adventure will be within sight.

Watch how Grizzly made the officers dance while chasing him.
