We have all heard the stories of what it’s like in New Orleans. Even if we’ve never been, everyone knows New Orleans is a place to party! People from all across the country come into town looking to have some fun, and the city is never one to disappoint!

The fun roots of the city seem to go deeper than just the humans living there.

Even if you never intended it, traveling to New Orleans will always lead you to one party or another. Some people love to party in the bars at the famous “Bourbon Street,” and others are just fine with the actual street! With all this partying, something else is bound to happen as well. Parties always lead to something nobody can resist – dancing!

With such a fun culture of party and dance, its no wonder people seem to always be in a good mood.

From the store cashier to the police officers, everyone in New Orleans seems to be filled with energy, ready to dance. For the police force, it seems that they have joined the dance party rather than tried to stop it! When you can’t beat em’, join em,’ right?

For one “officer,” their dance moves have gotten pretty famous.

Having quick feet is a requirement to be a good dancer, but what about quick hooves? One horse has been sweeping the internet with its incredible dance moves. It looks like even the animals have caught on to the constant party atmosphere that is happening in the city.

We first see the horse when a uniformed officer rides up to a pop-up street party.

When you first see the horse-officer duo, you think that they are going to stop the party. For most of us, we see police stopping parties, not joining in! When you see the way that this horse hops into the throng of people and dances, you might even think its fake!

With a fast-paced beat and a horse ready to dance, the stage is set!

One of the essential elements of dance is rhythm. When the horse walks up to the street performers, they are laying down an incredible beat with all their brass! New Orleans is known for its street performances, and we are about to witness a two-for-one special with the street band and dancing horse.

When the cop finally gets to the already partying people, he lets the horse do its thing.

With the drums going and the brass singing, the horse finally shows us what it’s got! The horns are blaring, and the horse can’t help but start dancing—even watching the video might give you that dancing urge.

With a prancing horse and seated rider, we lose sight of who is controlling who.

Like any good dance partners, we don’t really see who is in control. It is just a blur of horse and rider as the two leap and prance back and forth. SPinning around and trotting back, the horse hasn’t even shown us its best moves yet.

Skipping and high-stepping around, there is only one real way to end a performance.

What is a good performance without an elegant bow to finish it out? Well, the horse obliges and dips low to the filming people, almost like it is showing off! After the bow, the horse spins around and trots backward out of sight, gently swaying to the music. New Orleans is a magical city!
